Assign Internet access to the second IP Gateway

Your quest is very confuse. If you have a router that one only have 1 IP gateway and if DHCP is enable, then the router assign all IP,s to all PC,s, DHCP is not enable you nedd to assign IP,s for the PC,s.
So 192.168.0.1 is the default gateway and from that IP with DHCP enable all IP,s will have the same first 7 digits of the gateway and the last will be in the range of the gateway,So the ip of aother pc,s will be like 192.168.0.2,192.168.0.3 and so on.

Where is the WEP/WPA code on a Netgear router

The WEP / WPA security information can be obtained by accessing your Netgear router setup page. You'll need the router's IP address to access the setup page. From your computer, go to Start > Run > type "cmd" (w/o the quotes), hit Enter > DOS black screen appears, type "ipconfig" (w/o the quotes), hit Enter. Take note of the Default Gateway IP address - that is your router's IP address.
Pull up a browser and enter the IP address in the address bar, hit Enter. You will then be asked for your router's Username and Password, enter the required information. If you don't know the info, please contact your router manufacturer for assistance. Once you're in the router setup page, go to the wireless security settings to check the WEP or WPA code.
Should you still need further assistance on this matter, please contact your router manufacturer.
I hope this helps.

My internet Connects perfectly to the computer to the modem.. but when I put my router inbetween the two, it stops working and i've tried everything including restore factory settings, and it still...

Well in order to access internet via your router, it needs to be configured as you said its being restored to factory defaults. Also always mention your ISP (Internet service provider), Router model no and Computer type with running Operating system for exact steps to fix such problems
Alright, first of all we need to establish physical connection with the Modem -> Router->Computer, then we will setup router
  1. Connect Ethernet cable from Modem to the WAN port of the router.
  2. Connect another Ethernet cable from Router LAN port to computer LAN port.
  3. Power cycle all the devices (Turn on Modem first, then Router and at last computer).
  4. Usually in case of Cable ISP, router would automatically get connection from Modem and Internet should start working.
  5. Else you can open Router admin page to configure
  6. You need to find the IP address of your router (usually Default IP of Netgear routers is 192.168.1.1). I can't tell what is the IP for your router as you didn't mentioned Model no.
  7. Open Command prompt (Start-Run-CMD) and type IPCONFIG.
  8. Default gateway address is the IP address of your router. (You can also find router's default IP on the its panel below.)
  9. Now next step is to access router interface.
  10. Open Browser and type http://192.168.1.1 (It is just an example, you need to use the IP address of your router, we are assuming its 192.168.1.1). Press Enter
  11. Type "admin" in usename and "password" in password box to login (both are in lower case without quotes)
  12. In the left side you can find Setup Wizard, Click on Yes and then Next
  13. Wait for the process to complete and then hit "Apply".

How do I determine actual threats to my network while reviewing my wireless/network Router's Event Log?

Logs are meant to see the activities handled by your router. However, to determine any threat you can check for the IP address of the devices you have connected to your router. You can determine if any one else is trying to access your router by their ip address only.
Note down the IP address for all the devices that you have connected to your router. Than match the your devices IP addresses with IP addresses you found in the logs.
Matching IP address: Means your devices accessing the router. Unmatched IP Address: Someone else's devices trying to access your router.
You can always add security by using WEP/WPA2 key security. For further security you can encrypt the keys.

Trying to find a wap2 code to hook up xbox thru router. have no idea what I'm doing

If you can access router from pc/laptop, go into the wireless setup and go into security tab. here is where the code is located. Also check the bottom of the router. If you haven't changed the key, many routers have the key printed on the bottom of the router.
To access router, type in he ip address of router, if you don't know the ip address, follow this example.
START-PROGRAMS-ACCESSORIES-COMMAND PROMPT.
BLACK SCREEN WILL OPEN. Do nothing but type in ipconfig This will give you both the wireless and wired ip and the default gateway. You want to write down the default gateway. next type EXIT and the command prompt box will close.
Next open your browser (ie. Internet Explorer Firefox etc...) and type in only the default gateway ip address. example 192.168.0.1 there are no spaces and nothing added before the ip address. This will give you access to the routers access page. You may need a password to get into the router. Usually there is no username and the pw is admin. Then follow alone with what what written above.
Hope that helps.

You can also configure it with below method.
Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. If you are still not able to access router with above ip then you need to RESET it for that press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults..Then you can access it with above method. I have problem setting up my wireless network and redirecting my wireless client to my local webpages before they can access to internet.   see this diagram below :...

you need to replace your modem with a router that is capable of running Network Address Translation. You are trying to route private IP's (192,168.x.x) over the public IP (internet) network.
