Question about Televison & Video
This screen is usable but after about 10 mins the screen starts to flicker then switches off, give it about 10 mins and it will work again, does any 1 have any ideas? could this be bad caps? or power supply over heating ?

Make sure you have the PS3 set to the correct frequency for the TV. Many cannot accept 1080p / 24fps etc.
Try different settings.

philips has a problem with bad caps(swollen)in power supply-try shopjimmys.com enter model number-scroll down til you find power supply-order it simple to put in.if they do not have it write down part number then google it to find one--you also can change the bad caps yuorself if you are handy with a soldering iron

You will either have a fault with the inverter board which drives the backlights or a faulty backlight in the screen. If the problem is a backlight then a replacement screen is the only cure. One or the other is breaking down after it has been opn for a certain period of time, have an engineer call out & check with a tester if it is a screen problem.
