go to the reset menu (right arrow and then down arrow until reset menu is displayed) on the lcd display and then choose change toner #(right arrow until the desired toner is displayed) Hope this helps

I have a similar problem, and I solve it. I have been put out manually all cartridges and turn off printer. When I turn it On printer ask to install new cartridges. When I done whit that, problem was solved.

Try this: First check which cartridge(s) are not being recognized. In my case where I replaced all three color cartridges, two were recognized right away but one was not. You find out by sending a print request to the printer and looking at the ink cartridge levels diagram in the dialog window. In my case two of three were fine but one had a red X on it. So I removed it and cleaned the contacts with alcohol then rocked it in the slot after pressing it in. It was recognized and the charging process began as normal.
