Question about Neff U1661 Double circotherm super Electric Oven
The retaining clip for the bottom oven grill has come off the nipple which holds it in place and when you try to attach it just keeps dropping off, I dont wont to have to replace the oven because of this small bit but the grill hangs down onto the top shelf meaning I am a shelf down anyone any ideas how to re-attach so it holds the grill up

SOURCE: neff oven door (U1661)
The door is v heavy and the hinges being right at the bottom take a lot of strain, especially when the door is in 'half open' position. Once the springs start to wear the hinges are no longer strong enough to hold the top of the door firmly closed. Our U1661 is 8 years old and we've had the hinges replaced twice under extended warranty. The second time the hinges they supplied don't hold the door in this position and it will just drop straight down if you don't support it while you open it.

Yes ,it is the element.
You need to remove the panel at the rear of the oven, this will give you access to the element.

There are a couple of solutions to this prob,
You can get some plastic metal and build up the corroded area after cleaning it first, then you can drill a new fixing hole for screw.
The other thing you can do is to cut a small metal plate to fit over bad area, drill and fix it to oven liner, again drill a new fixing hole for element to be secured.
Plz rate my solution.

sounds like you have a faulty new element. sometimes depending how long you supplier has had the element they get damp and when they get hot they go down to earth. if i was you i would take it back and get another one and try that. hope this helps you .

If you are not fitting genuine
elements, this is probably the reason they are failing so quickly.
You will pay a lot more for the genuine article, but they will last a lot longer.
Also make sure the fan is working o/k, as this can cause premature element failure.
please rate my solution.
