One of two problems cause this. first is a short in the wires that turn it on, the small wires going to the side of the body unplug one of them to see if thats the problem
second is a stuck relay inside the top cofer of the main body

How to get into Hayden super pack delux vac unit

Are you speaking about the Power Nozzle? If so, you need to remove the head light cap. It has clips on each side. Using a small flat head screwdriver gently pry the light cover off from the sides.

Now you will see two screws. Remove those screws. Now you need to pull out on the sides of the cover while hinging it from back to front.

That is it. There is the motor, belt and electronics.

To reassemble, just revers the steps.

It stopped working while I was using it . I tried to plugged in different electric outlets but it still dead. What should I do or look into in order to get it back to normal?? thanks

I would start by taking the wand apart. Be sure vac is unplugged from the wall outlet! You should be left with two pipe pieces, and the beater bar. I would also pull the hose from the canister unit itself. Once all the pieces are pulled apart, check the two or three prong wire connectors on each piece, both the female and male ends. If you have any dielectric grease, use a dab on each electrical connection. Once you reassemble, and still not powering up, wiggle the wand back and forth at the connection near the canister, and after the hose near where the switch is. If the vac cuts on after wiggling it, then you have a loose connection, and will need to tighten the female ends on the electrical connections, by squeezing them together slightly with a pair of pliers. Please rate if this works or does not work. Thanks!

Nutone CV556 Vaccuum Cleaner -Continuously running

Start with this. Unplug the vac to shut off, then disconnect the low voltage wiring at the vac.Plug the vac back in. If the vac still runs you have an internal short on the relay or wiring inside the vac.
If the vac stops then the vac and final wiring is OK and the problem is in the wiring in the house.
Have you removed any inlets for painting or had any renos done or pictures hung. If so undo what you did last. If inlets were disturbed remove them and look for low voltage vac wires touching metal backing plates in the wall or touching the inlet mounting screws.
If you have done a reno or hung pictures you may have pierece the wire for the vac creating a low voltage short which will keep the vac running until removed. I have seen this happen with freshly installed 1/4 round molding along a baseboard

The red light on my hayden 3600 vacuum won't go off

I have a 6000 and it does the same thing. I simply unplug the unit and plug it back in after cleaning the filter and dumping the cannister. That seems to reset the warning system.

Hayden 6000+ wont run

Define hose works or doesn't, no suction, hose will not activate vac , etc.
Test the vac by shorting across the low voltage terminals where they enter the machine. If the vac works here your problem is in the internal wiring, at the valve or the hose to wall connection. If the vac will not run, you will need to check the motor for continuity across the motor leads.

Hayden Premier Motor Pulses

there are several possibilities here, its possible the low voltage relay is bad, possible that the carbons on your motor are worn, or may even be a thermal sensor in your unit shutting it down, ive even seen improper assembly of motor which cause wires to be pinched and have shorts in them from the manufacture, course always check your power cord to the wall and test your outlet with some other appliance.as you can see several possiblities, most of which unless your knowledgeable in electricity i wound not atttempt on my own. highley reccomend taking to a vacuum cleaner shop to have checked out at least, they may even be able to sell you the part to fix it yourself

I have a Eureka Central Vac CV1601b. The motor does not stop unless the Unit is unplug from the electrical outlet. Any Idea?.I removed the control unit to check if there was disconnected wires or burnt...

If the unit is relay controlled, there is always the possibility that when the unit was turned on, the relay contacts welded themselves shut making the power button ineffective.

If you're familiar with relay pinouts, with the unit unplugged, verify the contact closures with an ohmmeter or continuity checker. With the unit unplugged, the relay contacts should be in their "normal" state (probably open).

Try gently tapping the relays to see if it can be freed that way. If that works, there's nothing stopping them from welding themselves together again. The relay may need replacement.

Cheers.
