Question about Canon Pixma iP2700 InkJet Photo Printer
You most proberbly have a clogged black catridge. try cleaning from the printer's maintenace tab. if it doesnt improve after a few cleans, do a deep clean. if it still doesnt work and you dnt feel like buying a new catridge yet, steam the nozzle of the catridge. these steps almost always do it, if not, just get a new catridge and voila!

SOURCE: Compatibility of Ink cartidge.
The MP600 does not use the 40 or 41 cartridges, it uses individual color (and black) ink tanks. But other models (MP190, MP460, MP470, etc) do use these cartridges. The error message you are receiving indicates that the printer does not recognize the cartridge you installed as a valid black ink cartridge. This can mean that either the cartridge is faulty, or that the printer has a problem.
I would suggest trying another new cartridge, and if you still get the same error, to contact Canon for support options if the unit is still in warranty.

SOURCE: I'm getting an error V150
Error U150 refers to a cartridge not being recognised. This is due to the refilled cartridge. The machine knows that the cartridge has already been used and is expecting a new one. Some people say that if you hold down the stop key for 3 seconds when powering up it will remove the cartridge check. I have never tried it personally.

SOURCE: I've changed the ink cartidges
This hapens when refilled cartridges are installed in the printer. To rectify the problem, look for the 'Resume button' normally black with a red circle around an arrow head pointing towards you. With the printer powered on, press and hold this button down for about 10 seconds. The error code will usually clear and the printer will print but the orange lights will still flash.
