Question about Logitech QuickCam Webcam for Notebooks
Are you using any messenger service such as skype ,yahoo,msn .....
Click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll down image devices you could see a yellow question mark? right click to reinstall drivers or update driver Make sure the microphone is using the same as your computers audio Click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might be a tick in the mute box untick also select audio from the microphone drop down list make sure you have the right one selected and in the volume box make sure the microphone box has a tick in it or select the voice tab and make sure that you have the right media selected also select volume Make sure the box for microphone has a tick in it Hope this helps.

Within the software that is used with the cam, the sound sometimes needs to be enabled in the options settings, and set up similairly in windows live.

on the right hand side of your task bar near the time, you will see a speaker icon, right click on it and open volume control. When the window pops up on the far right should be the mic controls, check that it's not muted. If the mic controls do not show then click options at top menu then advanced and the mic slider controls will now show up.

SOURCE: QuickCam mic doesn't work
For XP users,try:
>Sounds and Audio Devices
Click on drop down menu arrow.
If there are two audio devices listed: Deselect current device; select second device.

Go to Control Panel and Click on Sounds, Click
on Audio, then Click on the Microphone. Then Click on the drop
down and select Camera Microphone.
Click OK and it should work.
