Question about Pioneer Car Audio & Video
Hello sir/mam I am installing a pioneer car sound system for the second time into a different car, and the head deck is not receiving power so I would like to know how to get the power by knowing what cords to hook up too

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Two pics as the manual had the paragraph separated. This is for DEH 2500 only. Let me know if you want the 1500 as well.

Check out this pdf file from Pioneer (it's for the DEH-3100 but the wiring colors will be the same - you can disregard the IP-bus input since your DEH-31 doesn't have one).
For the car side you can probably purchase a wiring adapter that will plug into the connector that went to your factory radio - this adapter will have wires which you connect to the same color wires on your Pioneer's wiring harness.

SOURCE: Wiring for Pioneer DEH-P5900IB
A word of caution here.If the wires are ,old, faded cut etc, please consider REPLACING them.
Replace ALL the wires with new ones as wires matter a lot in a car stereo .
as for the wiring diagram go to www.pioneer.com or InfoBravado.net/car manual.

to solve the problem with it turning off when u turn your lights on is that on the back side of your radio is a spot that says max and something else keep your ground wires conected just how they are but get u a a 14 to 12 gage wire a cut u about 6 inches and use one end and connect to your other ground wires (with Connecters ) and the other end and with a closed end connecter with the little hole in the center i cant place wat its called but any ways put it where that max hole thing is where there is a screw there and that should fix that problem cause i had that happen before .. but make sure your antentia is pluged iin to ok .. good luck Paul,
