1 Answer

I have a sony viao and the sound sometimes works

We are having a problem with them sound, It will work and then stop, sometimes a box will come up from microsoft saying the sound has stopped working and they will let us know if they find a solution....nothing, It takes having to shut down the computer completely (not restart) and it will sometimes work for a bit. I check in the control panel under sound and it says it is working properly. but when you click test sound I can not hear it. Can you help us? Is it a glitch we can fix?

The left click button on the mouse of my sony viao doesnt work

Sometimes there is a buildup of dirt that collects under the button, get a can of compressed air blow it in the crevice and as you do lift the button if it high enough, really give it a good blast of air.

Optical drive sony viao vgn fs840/w won't register

try downloading the VIAO update tool
http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-download.pl?mdl=VGNFS840W&upd_id=2775&os_id=7

this will ensure you have the latest software + drivers for your system.

problems with CD drives tend to be problems with the IDE drivers, so it may be a good idea to download the latest Chipset drivers either directly from sony (or using the tool above)
or downloading from the intel website
