Remington R 9500 razor needs a battery

I have purchased a replacement base unit as mine doesnt register that it is holding any solution. It has not arrived yet but it appears that the razor will no longer hold a charge. It reads 60 minutes on the display but immediatly goes to 0 when you attempt to turn it on.

My smart system razor no longer charges. Have to use it whilst plugged in. What could be the problem with the charger?

Hi, I had this same problem and did some research. In the beginning I was told it HAD to be sent back to Remington for the service. As with all electronics, I end up fixing them myself. I bought the replacement batteries from for $15.00 and now it works great. Good Luck and I hope this helps!
* Make sure you get the R9000 Series Battery Replacement.

My elderly father's remington razor MS3 2700 does not seem to be recharging, when it is plugged in. When the "on" switch is pressed, the red light flashes and it makes a tired noise. Could the recharge...

This model was not designed to replacement batteries. The case is glued together so opening it usually results in damaging the case.
Instead of replacing the batteries, I suggest replacing the 'lower unit' part. This is the entire handle portion of the shaver and can be purchased for just a few dollars more that buying the batteries. You will find this lower unit part at See link below

What is the procedure for replacing the batteries in the Remington Titanium R 9500?

There are three screws on the back of the shaver to be removed. One is easy to see. The second is visable when you extend the trimmer. The third is hard to get to and the trimmer must be disjointed at the top to get to it. Once all three screws are removed, you can remove the back cover. There are two batteries. To remove them you will need to unsnap and remove the long metal clip and then unsolder the wires connected to the batteries. There may also be a gummy substance holding a wire to the side of one of the batteries. You will need to use a razor blade to seperate it off along the side of the battery. Once the old batteries are removed, you can solder in new batteries and ten reassemble the shaver.

You will find batteries at See link below. You will need to order two.

If you are unable to do this repair yourself, can do it for you. See link below.

My shaver will not hold a charge. What could be the problem

Remington model R-9500

Your shaver will not hold a charge because the shavers internal batteries need replacing. If you know how to solder, you can do it yourself or you can have it professionally done. You can purchase batteries or professional repair service from See links below.

If you feel this is something you want to try yourself, you will need to remove the back cover of the shaver. You will easily notice two screws on the back. There is a third screw that is near the very top on the back and it is underneath the trimmer where the trimmer connects to the shaver. Remove these 3 screws to take off the back cover.
Inside you will see the batteries. You will need to remove the metal clip that helps secure them into place. You will then need to use a soldering iron to remove the wires from the ends of the old batteries. Solder the new batteries to the wires and put everything back together in reverse order
Once the job has been completed, charge the new batteries for 24 hours.

Razor not working

What is brand and model #? Remington R650? If it is, it should work with charger plug on without using battery. If it does not work, the battery may be shorted. To take out the battery please refer my procedure I posted in another battery exchanbe trace. It holds by 4 hinden screws under the red plastic cover. I did disassemble the whole unit from top down just investigate everything. To remove trimer may not be necessary though.

Cleaning mode not pulling cleaning fluid up into chamber for cleaning process

I have had the same problem.I sent an e-mail to Remington and they sent me a whole new unit including the shaver and accesories.Problem is the replacemant is doing the same thing again as the first unit.I got it for x-mas and am getting ready to contact remington for a 3rd unit,it is only June. What I am doing now is changing the fluid and filter and tip the unit forward to bring fluid in to the head cleaning chamber. It's half ass way to have to something, but Remington does have a problem with this and needs to recall or replace with an upgrade when available
