Question about UC-Logic WP8060U (689076313025)
Greetings from mexico. I have a 1.83 ghz Mac mini intel core duo with mac os 10.4.10 Last year I bought a pen Tablet WP8060(U) The installation disk didnt come with a driver for mac, PLEASE I need a driver so I can use it with my mac. can anybody help me?
I struggled with this tablet on my mac for a while now. Yesterday, I contacted email@example.com and got a prompt reply. Here is a link to the latest driver. Seems to work with Photoshop CS4.
Please kindly uninstall the previous driver (GO】-->【Applications】-->【PenTablet Setting】-->【Uninstall
PenTablet Driver】) before you install the new driver. Thank you.
Besides, please do not plug the tablet into pc before the driver installation is done.
No restart is necessary, at least for me.

I did (they did too apparently) e-mail UC-Logic. They sent me a link to the drivers, but as 'Guest posted on Feb 14, 2008), the driver does NOT work, at least not with Tiger 10.4.11 or 10.5.2 (I've tried both). The funny thing is even without the driver, the 3-button mouse it comes with works on the tablet. But the pen on the tablet only clicks. There is no movement with the pen. Adding the driver does not help. In fact, it appears here that the driver is not working correctly at all because when I try to access their little utility they included, it says it's not working even and that I need to reboot or something, but when I reboot it says it fails or something to that effect (it's been awhile since I tried it; I was looking again to see if there has been an update since I just happened to try it again and noticed the tablet mouse works since the last Tiger update.
System Prefs brings up Ink, but it doesn't appear to function. Ink itself suggests the pen might not work without a proper driver for it (shrug).
On the other hand, while it works on my WindowsXP machine, I've never been able to get Photoshop7 to recognize/use it for pressure painting/editing so overall, I've been extremely disappointed in the unit. I guess that teaches me not to buy something on sale at a computer show when I don't know anything about it. I would have been better off just dishing out the big bucks for a Wacom.

You can downloaded an updated driver from here : http://www.uc-logic.com/en/index.php?ParentMenuID=4
I was up till 3am last night trying to get my Trust branded tablet to work and found out that in fact it was manufactured by UC-Locig. However, trust do not support this tablet for Mac usage and just say its not compatible. UC-Logic however provide a generic Mac driver for all their tablets (on the link I provided above), which is the exact same driver provided by Trust for a Mac compatible tablet they were selling in the past, however UC-Logic have since updated the driver on their site but Trust have not.
I was messing around with different drivers, installing and uninstalling. Installing over already uninstalled drivers etc. It was easy to get the pen to respond and everything works well except the buttons on the pen, they do not respond at all and I also cant get the tip to double click, ecxept white trying to close a finder window. I have tried to configure it in the config prog that gets installed after running the driver and just cant get the buttons to work.
Also, if you have a Trust branded tablet, forget about the user manual provided, its worthless. Download the UC-Logic UM, its detailed and comprehensive. After reading it again today I have notices that I did not follow the correct procedure while installing the driver because I had the tablet plugged in to my iMac (G5 1.8Ghz running OSX Leopard 10.5.8 with 2GB RAM) during the install and according to UC-Logic, that is a mistake that will probably result in problems. I can't wait to get back home tonight to rerun the whole process again and hope for the best (that the buttons on the pen will work and I will be able to double click usinf the tip).
Hope this helps!

I had similar problems using a La Pazz tablet on an iMac running 10.4.11. I could 'click' with the pen but the cursor would not move. The drivers would not load from the CD but I eventually found this site www.superpen.com You can download Mac drivers from there - there are three of them and I finally got the .bin to load. It will not load from the startup folder but double clicking the driver icon to open it manually worked for me.

The documentation says nothing about this, but when you install the driver it also installs an application in your Applications folder. The application is called PenTablet Setting. You are supposed to be able to go in there and change settings to make this work. However, it tells me that the driver is not loaded on mine. Try messing with PenTablet Setting and see if that makes it work for you.

Tips for a great answer:
Regarding the information you provided, we would like to tell that if your Mac OS X's version is between 10.5 to 10.7.4, please proceed to step 1 to troubleshoot the problem. If your Mac OS X's version is 10.8, please upgrade the Mac to 10.8.1 then follow the steps below to start troubleshooting the problem.
1. Reset the tablet driver.
Click on Go > click on Applications > search and open the Bamboo folder > select Bamboo Utility > select All Users under Preferences > click on Remove button under Preferences.
If the problem remains, go to the next step. If it is fixed, do not proceed with the rest of the troubleshooting steps.
2. Set the driver to Pen Mode.
Click on the Apple logo > select System Preference > click Bamboo icon > click Pen tab > on Tracking pane, select Pen Mode > close the Bamboo Preferences.
3. Adjust the Double Click Distance and Tip Feel.
Click on Start > click on All Programs > search and open the Bamboo folder > select Bamboo Preferences > click on the Pen tab > adjust the Double Click Distance to Big and the Tip Feel to Firm > close the Bamboo Preferences.
