We're not getting any sound from the dvd's. I have two cables (green/blue/red) and (red/white). but I'm at a loss how to connect from DVD to TV. Help please!

If your TV has the green, blue, red inputs then connect these 3 cables for the picture. DVD to TV, green to green, blue to blue and red to red. If your TV only has a yellow input, then connect the green cable only from the DVD yellow to the TV yellow. Now for the sound. Connect the DVD white to the TV white. Connect the DVD red to the TV red with the red cable. The white and red inputs will be next to the yellow and the green, blue, red inputs on the TV. Next select the TV input using your TV remote. Select the input for the DVD connection.

Bought unit but don't know how to connect my ipod or dvd

For a dvd player, you would simply need to connect the A/V Cables (red, white, yellow A/V connects) from dvd player to your alpine.Simply press PWR/SRC until you see AUX and you can now listen and watch from your dvd player. About the ipod, i am not sure.

Lost face to cva 1004 where do i get e new one ?

go to a certified alpine dealer they can order a new one but the problem is its almost as expensive as replacing the radio. that do that so if people steal them out of cars they cant just order a new face. but i did happen to find some replacement face plates on ebay. this might help someone

Ipod input?

I've got an Alpine CVA1004 and use my ipod on the aux input of the headunit. The alpine-ipod interface was too confusing for me, with the ipod connected to the aux input, I just control the music from the Ipod, I find it easier that way.

lol i had the exact problem that you are having with my alpine. The solution is taking the blue cord that was inside the vehicle (forgot what cord it was) and actually connecting it with the other blue cord thats different makes the factory amp read the cd player and ta-da it works. crazy isn't it
