Question about Lenovo 3000 V100 Notebook
I have several Lenovo laptops. The C200 is the only one with issues. I originally had to replace the motherboard. It worked for about one year and now it shuts off spontenusly. Doesn't get hot and the battery functions, help please!
I have a Lenovo 3000 V100, which has served me well for almost 4 years. It has spontaneously shut off about five times now, and the first time it did this was just a couple months ago.
Why is this happening?
Others have reported that a battery going south (even one that still holds a charge) can cause some heat sensor to go into the red zone and shut the machine down. You can test this by pulling your battery and running your v100 exclusively on A/C--does this resolve the problem?
I discovered on my v100 that running the latest version of AVG (8.5) causes my hard drive to warm up enough to set off a heat sensor, shutting the machine down. I have to run the virus scan at the "slow" setting to avoid this problem.
