When it did work before under Windows 7, there should not be a problem with any driver.
Put the Windows disk in the DVD player and start the disk. Say you want to install Windows, Then the computer gives you some options, choose the repair Windows option. Don't do the new installation, because you would lose all data.
Now it is the network, next time your Hard Disk. Did you make a backup already?
I would advice to make a backup, before you try to solve this problem.
click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll to network adapters you might see a yellow question ? exclamation ! mark or a red X the driver will need to be updated right click to update driver if you dont have the disk with the driver you will need to download one http://download.cnet.com/netgear-wg311v3-802-11g/3000-2112_4-78104.html hope this helps you
If the light is flashing but the disk does not start you need to go into system settings/console/startup and turn the "Disk" auto startup ON. It was set to off for me by default. Restart and it will install the update from the disk.
either download the computers network driver on another computer and put them on a disk or usb drive and copy them over or pop in a network card that you have the disk for and download the driver that way.

hi may be the installation software is not working, what you need to do is take the cd out from the computer and just plugg the wireless adapter, when you plug in the wireless adapter it will tell you to insert the cd that came with the usb card so that the software can be installed, once you see this message insert the cd and then follow the setup screen(imp thing:incase you see the screen of the linkys installation donot follow that, follow the windows software setup screen) this will install the software and i am sure the software will get installed if the software has totally gone bad then here is a link you can donwnload the software from website and then try the installation

you should be able to get the driver from www.netgear.com. In the support section. Download straight to disc so you always have it handy and then normal install - think you will have to unzip files first if I remember rightly
