SOURCE: change blade
OK first raise the cutting head. Loosen the screw that holds the guard in place and move out of the way. Find the spindle lock on the right hand side of the gearcase and turn blade by hand (UNPLUG SAW FIRST) until it locks. With the wrench supplied with saw put it on the blade bolt and turn it clockwise to loosen, it has left hand threads, remove outer flange and blade. Let me know it you need any more help

If you can't print from your computer, or local library, find a local print shop or copy shop that is willing to download and print a .pdf file for you.
Then go to this link and you'll be able to download a pdf file with the manual you're seeking: http://www.dewaltservicenet.com/documents/English/Instruction%20Manual/Delta/A05737.pdf
If this solves your problem, please take a second to rate this post and let us know! Best wishes!

There's no debris or wood jammed in the housing around the blade, is there? Try unplugging and removing the blade, to make sure some wood hasn't gotten wedged in there somewhere.
Otherwise, make sure the blade is on tight. If so, there is likely a problem with the motor itself.
If it's still under warranty, I'd contact Ridgid at this link: http://www.ridgid.com/Tools/Support/
Otherwise, they have a tools forum where you might be more likely to find someone who's experienced a similar problem.
Being reconditioned, it sounds suspect to me...
Sorry I couldn't be any more helpful...

Go to Dewaltservicenet.com and in the middle of the page towards the bottom type in the model number 1710 and it will go to another page requesting either a breakdown or instruction manual, you have to use the manual for a type 4. They do not offer the type 2 as an online version. Hope this helps
