I have a sony Projection screen tv. maybe 50 inches. the picture is bouncing up and down. the tv is kinda old im hoping that it is just something i can adjust. please help.

Change the input to something else...like a DVD. Is it still there? If not, you have a signal problem either outside the tv..or perhaps a bad tuner. Do you have a computer near the tv? Or other high tech device near the unit? Try turning off any hi-tech devices in the house and check to be sure the connections are good to the tv and/or cable or satellite box.
i have a sony bravia 50 inch rear projection tv kdf 50e2000 the problem is it fail to switch on when it did it swicth on had black line cross the screen
You have a problem within the light engine. This a hugely expensive. If the set is not too old you could contact Sony and see if they will help you out. Otherwise it is not eceonomical to repair
If the picture looks like a 3D then you have a convergence failure.
I would suggest to visuallyinspect the STKIcs for dry or crystallized solder joints.
