Hi there. FIrst of all be sure the water lever is above all of the jets for it to work properly. REgarding the jet where the water does not come out properly i am not sure what that means. BUT, the jet is adjustable so turn it and see if that fixes the problem. good luck.

contaminated or water in the fuel is most likely the culprit here.
drain the tank and carb (small screw at bottom of carb float bowl)
Add fresh fuel from a CLEAN fuel source. Best to completely drain your fuel can and fill it up with fresh fuel. That way if the fuel can is the culprit you eliminated doing this twice.
What happened was fuel sits on top of water, this is why the bike would still idle. The idle circuit in the carb pulls fuel from a higher point than the main jet. This is also why when you hit the throttle it would just die, it was sucking most like something other than fuel.

American standard jet bath tub black particles coming out of jets

The problem you are experiencing is common to many jetted bathtubs. It is a result of dried bathing water in the tub. There are a couple of solutions to resolve this ongoing problem.
  1. Use your tub more frequently as the water will not have time to fester in the pipes.
  2. Use a cleaning solution made for cleaning the pipes on jetted bathtubs once every three months.

You find Cleaning and Maintenance Products for jetted tubs at the following website. US Parts Center

How do you clean the jets in a whirlpool tub? Is there any product to put in water and run jets to clean them?

Put white vinegar in the water and run it through your tub. Fill the tub to it's maximum running capacity, which is normally just above the jets, and pour a gallon of vinegar in the water with it. Let it run with the vinegar for about 20 minutes, then turn it off and let the vinegar sit in the jets for about 30 minutes. Then start up the jets again for about another 10 minutes and drain. Then run plan water through the jets for about 15 minutes, drain and that should do it. I would recommend doing this at least once every 2 months depending on your water type and how often you use the tub.

Turn on switch and nothing happens

Sounds like you might you might have a faulty ground in the original circuit. You possibly have a solenoid that is sticking, bad ground, wiring, etc...... because of age/carbon buildup/etc. and needs replacing, or the sparking mechanism associated with the solenoid isn't sparking properly. If it is all part of the same regulator there might be a problem with gas flow through the regulator to the jets. Either way, I think I would start by looking at the solenoid, see if its replaceable by itself and work back from there. Good Luck!!

I have an old AquaWhirl tub that was out of commission for several months because of a breaker problem. I replaced the breaker but when I turn on tub I get 5 seconds of normal whirl followed by a big burst...

Due to your tub setting for a long period of time, you have a simple air lock in the jet hoses.
Find the pump - locate the jet farthest from the pump and using a funnel slowly pour water in that jet until water starts coming out of the other jets.
Turn you tub on it should work fine. If this does not solve your problem you may have to loosen the top hose at the pump and allow the air to escape while being replaced by the water you are pouring in

No, most likely you have a blocked jet. If you have the expertise, strip the carbs and clean them out, if not, taking the carbs off and sending them to a carb rebuild company is less than $100 each, plus they will renew all the old parts (seals, jets, etc.) and your bike will run like new!
