Question about Porter Cable Cable No. FC350A Clipped Head Framer

Porter cable fc350a frame nailer shoots just air

Sometimes my nailer will just shoot air, especially when trying to shoot sideways on ground. We have to shoot straight down and it will work for a few more times and then shoot air again. As long as I shoot at level up and down angel, it shoots just fine.

Could be a couple things, first are you using the right nails in the gun e.g. collation and degree. Second do the nails move freely in the magazine and how is the pusher spring on the nail does it have enough pressure. Then I would unplug from air remove all the nails andjust tap the nose on a piece of wood and does the driver drop? If so the piston Oring is worn and needs replaced, but if you do that I would recommend replacing all the rubber. Let me know and I would need the exact model number to come up with parts.

Freeman PFN1564 shoots air when you disengage safety and pull trigger

if you mean it only shoots air when you pull trigger and not a nail , disconect from air supply and open side of nail mag. (two screws on side) look for forign object in front towards head end , sometimes the paper that nails are wrapped in gets stuck in there , also there is a small spring metal clip at front of mag is this broken off and is unusually short ?

Can My FC 350 A used 28 degree nails

The manual for your gun specifies 34-degree nails from 2 to 3 1/2 inches long. 28-degree, wire collated nails are a Stanley-Bostitch thing and they only work in their nail guns, they will not work in your nail gun. You need 34-degree, paper-tape collated nails. I know Senco framing nails will work in your gun and I think Duo-fast makes 34-drgree nails but check that before buying them.

Was trying to reload nails into my FC350A nailer. My hand slipped and the nail pusher slammed forward. Now I can't move the pusher to add more nails. What's wrong...nothing seems broken

Framing guns are a pain in the ****. It's the coil. Sounds like it broke free or jammed. Only solution is to take it apart. Take your time , not to difficult.

sounds like the packing is shot. you need to oil it 2 times a day if its a constant use tool, drain your compressor everyday if its below temps do it twice a day. before removing the packing try putting lots of oil 10 drops into the nailer it might just be **** caught in it but **** can ruin the packing.

Porter Cable FC350A air nailer misfiring

first off I would look at the safety to ensure it is not bent and also the driver is not stuck because of a jammed nail. You can go to Dewaltservicenet.com and download a diagram for this tool and start some disassembly of the cylinder area to check for other broken parts. I don't at this point think a rebuild kit is necessary unless it has been awhile since it has been serviced and then yes I would but you I think have some other bent or out of place item.

It sounds like the firing valve in the head is stuck. Go to Dewaltservicenet.com and download a breakdown for this tool before doing anything else. The o rings are probably worn or stuck from being dry. Let me know if I can help further

Porter Cable is serviced thru Dewalt. It appears that the neerest store to you is the one listed above. You could however try calling several fastener stores in your area. The ones that specialize in selling nails for air nailers. Most service nailers. Good Luck, Enjoy
