Zen player stuck on -shutting down

Reset the zen with the reset button on the player. If it still gets stuck on shutting down, reformat it. To do that, connect it to the computer, go to windows explorer\computer\portable devices. Doubleclick that to see the storage memory. Right click on that and select "Format...". This clears all the memory but usually fixes basic problems. If that doesn't work there's a serious problem.

i think i have a different version of zen but hopefully it'll work for you. i held down the power button and pokes the reset button with a pen tip for about 5 seconds and it finially turnned off! i've had alot of problems with the zen and it sorta happens alot and most times you need to do different things but the same problem usually doesnt come bk. good luck

USE THE RESET BUTTON located on the left side. Worked for me when it won't turn on ...

when off hold play down. then turn on(while holding play). then theres a recovery menu go to clean up.

You can reset your zen by placing the pen head in the hole below the power button for 20 seconds.

Attempt to slide the switch like you are shutting it down and then use a pin to reset the mode. By doing so all song could be washed out

everyone probably knows this but I'm a novice! I reset it with the end of a paperclip!! Thanks.

Press the "reset" button. If it didn't work, upgrade the firmware of this product. If problems still continue, contact the Creative company.

my advice, i would rstart it and install it before you plug it back in.

holding play button while powering up, then running Clean Up & rebooting did the trick.
