Question about PC Desktops
Your computer probably has a registry key set to make your flash drive protected.
To remove this follow the following directions:
DISCLAIMER: If you are not comfortable using the registry editor find someone who knows how to and is comfortable using it.
1. Open Registry Editor Start-->Run Type: regedit
2. navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control
3. Click on "StorageDevicePolicies"
4. Double click on Write Protection and change value to '0'
5. Repeat for CurrentControlSet001 002 etc. etc.

I was searching Transcend support site and found a recovery tool that may help. Here is the link. http://www.transcendusa.com/Support/DLCenter/Software/JetFlash%20Recovery%20Tool.zip
The support site describes it as "This program will erase all data stored on the JetFlash drive". Hope this helps.
