Question about Allegro ABV511
I have the Allegro ABV441 VHS & DVD combo player. The VHS has no problem recording T.V. shows, but I can't seem to get the DVD player to record. Do I have to have a certain type of disc or is there more to it than just pushing the record button? I of course cannot find my owners manual and can't find anything else out there on the web on the subject.
Thanks for any information you can provide. It is the ABV441 not the ABV511
SOURCE: set clock
I just did that the other day! If you have the controller, press the setup/menu button and hit clock... However, since you wrote this many months ago, I'm sure you figured that out already lol... Just thought I'd answer, though, since I'm here.

SOURCE: I have an Allegro DVD/VCR
There is not really a true 'universal remote.' If the remote is of older design than the set you wish to control, it will not contain the code set you need.
Before you buy another, check the mfr's website for code sets for any given model remote to ensure you aren't buying another one which will end up in a drawer. Unfortunately, this is a very common problem.
