SOURCE: Viewsonic N3250W no power light ?

check out this website, it's got everything you need. I have to give all the credit to Alain, a brilliant guy in France who dug in and solved the problems. he gives instructions for the professional to fix the problem, but he also gives the sources for the power supply board to be purchased and for the little chip that causes most of the problems. I decided to take a risk and save some money and bought just the chip for $20 and very carefully soldered it in after removing the old one. The tv is fine a month later. The board comes out with no soldering, just some quick connectors and the back of the tv will come apart after you remove all the screws and the base by gently prying the back case from the front bezel along the sides of the tv. if you look closely, you will see the small cavities to pry from.

SOURCE: TV wont turn on with remote or the power button

ONE: The protection circuit has taken over the power managment of the set. When you unplug it for a couple of hours or so and plug it back in it will start up because the circuits have all been reset (unplugging the power cord is a reset operation.)

TWO: The protection circuit goes into action whenever it detects an excessive amount of current being drawn from one of the 10 sections of the tv circuitry.

THREE: When it won't turn on it is because the protection circuit has captured the ON function and holds the power relay OFF until it is reset.

FOUR: So, the problem area could be any one of the 10 or so sections of the tv. The most common of which is the high voltage section because it uses the greatest amount of power. If so, this could be very expensive.

FIVE: On the other hand, it could be one of the other sections and a small part such as a resistor or capacitor shorting down. In which case the cost of repair may be only a few dollars.

SIX: However, you will need a tv tech to come to the home and diagnose the set because we cannot tell where the failure is without a hands-on diagnosis by one who knows how to test the circuit sections.

SEVEN: Usually a shop will send out a tech who will do a quick check and tell you what is wrong with the set and how much the repair cost is going to be. A house call such as this will cost from $40 to $80 depending on the distance and the price they set. I suggest you call a few shops and get their best response before deciding which one to employ.

Let me know if you will need further assistance

SOURCE: what does it mean when the red light is blinking

Bad power supply due to bad caps will be more lkely the cause of the problem. Or it detect shorted circuits so it stays in shutdown mode.

Power button light flashing, display will blink on and off. What can I do?

Check the power supply and the inverter circuits. Try it on another PC first also.
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses, poor solder jopints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed VIEWSONIC monitors to get some ideas what to look for:
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Try manually changing your display setting to 1024 x 768 and then try this value for the refresh rate which is 60 and 75 hertz and check if that will fix your problem.

When i push my power button on my flatscreen monitor, the power light will turn green then blink off for 2 secnds then blink on

Could you please explain more about your problem. Are you able to get your monitor working or is it that it keeps on blinking without any display on screen.

If your CPU is ON and then your facing no display on the monitor then the problem could not be with the monitor instead it could be either a loose RAM. Also check that the cables attached to the CPU is not loose.
