Thanks for the help but I had already tried that. The first time I did it came back on and when I put the oven on again it died and refuses to work again. Every else electrical in the house works except this oven.

    Any other suggestions!

    Thanks again!

Osunds as if yo perhaps blown the circuit breaker, got to the fuse box and try resettting the breaker first , if not labeled its going to be a "double breaker" youll need to fully turn it off and then reset to on position

How to lift up glass top for heating element replacement.

Most of these units have a few screws underneath the top at the front lip where the top of the door closes. Remove the screws and you should be able to lift the top up. Most of them also have a metal bar you pull down or up depending on the make and model on the side to hold the top up once you open it

Bottom oven bottom element doesn't heat

Phil. If you do not have voltage at the element, then the Electronic Oven Control ( EOC ) has failed. Part number # 5701M403-60

In order to check for the correct voltage at the element you will need to remove power and pull the range out of its installed location and remove the back panel of the range to gain access to the wiring and element. CAUTION ! I cannot stress this enough ! There are dangerous voltages in this area!! After the panel has been removed, return power to the range, set the lower oven to bake, and check the voltage at the element. You should find 220-240 volts between the element terminals with them connected to the element. If you do not have the proper voltage then you will need to replaced the EOC.

Problem with oven

In order for the element to stay on when the control is turned off either the control has shorted or the contact that the control switch controls has shorted, if the the light goes off as usual it is most likely the contacts in the elements relay that have welded themselves in the closed position but both the switch and relay will need to be tested.
