Find the problem

Do the series of numbers look like a date/time and page number stamp? If so, you need to turn off the Stamp RCV Name feature. This is part of the Advanced Fax features. To access this, press Menu until you see Advanced Fax on the top line of the LCD screen. Press Enter then use the left/right arrows until you see Stamp RCV Name. Press Enter again and use the left/right arrows to select Off. Press Enter to save the setting. Then press Stop/Clear to exit the menu system.

It is important for the model to be sf-560P. if there is no P you can not print to the unit.

you can not send it to your pc but you can reset you cartridge.

look at the model number at the back if it is only sf560 it can not print from a pc. it must be sf560p

There should be a button on the top to push for fax-copy-scan, make sure it is on fax before you start.

Make sure your in fax setup your message confirm is ON and not on ON-ERR. The Sf-560 also has an issue with the phone jack on the back becoming loose and causing sataic. Needs to be resoldered

This looks to be a tricky use of words, it is called Multi-purpose not multifunction.

Check if there is a fuse in place (usually fitted to the front edge of the cartridge) and always replace when refilling.
