I have had exactly the same problem and am having a printhead sent to me,
To replace the printhead you take out the inks and then press up in the left hand corner there us a thingy/ lever to press and take it out.
That is in the pdf files that you downloaded when you bought the printer.
However when you put it back the ink lights will flash and then you press the start button and the calibration sheet will print and then you put that in the scanner right up by the yellow arrow and press start again.
I also was told to go to kodak 5100 downloads and download the up to date firmware which users of this printer need to do about every 4 months.

I just recived a used BJC-85 its is printing fine in black and white but not color whats wrong

Try some of the following possible problems:

1. Make sure the color cartridges are installed correctly.
2. Make sure the cartridges are not expired. There should be a date on the sticker on them.
3. Make sure that the cartridges are clean. Sometimes the ink can build up on the cartridges and stop ink from coming out.
4. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Printers and Faxes. Find your printer and right click, then press Printing Preferences. In the options there make sure that color is selected.

I just installed my brand new printer cartridge in my hp a526 printer (NEW) and when I follow the instructions for set up to perform printer alignment it failed and will only print re and yellow colors...

First of all if there is a procedural fault when a new ink cartridge is installed this fautl can occur.
So first of all remove the printer, Uninstall the software. the reinstall the printer software and on instruction connect the printer to the PC. The new harware will be now installed .
make a test print. It must work fine.
Failing this test there can be errors in the printing head / main board.

Printer

Maybe you mistyped? Is it 'head or 'header'. I believe it is head you want to say. In that case your printer requires a new print-head to be installed.
Your printer has separate ink tanks and heads for printing. The head has a limited life although it works for along time.
The printer should indicated which color head needs to be installed. Try cleaning the head with the printer software first.
You can purchase the head of that color (or colors if more than one) and follow the install procedure in the printer manual.
If you also want head installation instructions, please take some time to post it as a separate question. I will try to give complete instructions.

Followed instructions for i860 error5200 and now get a new issue

You will need a new printhead, you only remove to see if that's the problem, wrong or missing cartridge error means the printhead has gone bad.

I installed new printer cartridges and then cleaned the print heads as instructed in the owner's manual. The printer won't print, just spits out blank pages.

Open printer case. Pull out the outlet pipe of head cleaning. Do head clenaing procedure. Is there ink out from outlet? If yes, so head is not clog. If it's still nothing at output, problem with board or short circuit at head. It's hard to repair.

Hi ankita, this will update your printer drivers:

Create a new folder on your desktop and name it newhpdrivers(substitute your manufacturer in new name). Un-intall printer and printer software completely. Go to manufacturers website and navigate to their drivers/downloads or support menu. Select your model, choose the relevant software and download to the new folder you created on your desktop. Power down your computer. Reconnect the printer to the computer and turn printer on. Power on pc. Windows will detect new hardware and ask if you have the manufacturers install cd or a location to check for install files. Direct the wizard to your new software, follow the rest of the setup instructions and your done.
