Get a new seal and apply some Vaseline to help seal it . When putting tank on, nestle it in place and then tighten the tanks bolts to the bowl evenly and securely . The rubber washers should compress some to make it snug.

Diagram uberhaus dual flush toilet leaking from bolts securing tank to the base

If the tank base has a good seal and when attached properly it will not leak. If the tank base has a line fracture or is pitted, it will leak. Inspect the base and the port the base sits in for any defects. Overnighting bolts can sometime cause damage to the seat and the only way to fix that is to use a silicone seal from a tube and apply lightly around the base, put the tank in place, tighten moderately, and let it sit unused for 24 hours until the seal cures.

I have a massive leak where the tank joins the bowl assembly. so i guess i need a new gasket,,,,yes?

Yes you will need to replace the old gasket to prevent leakage, and when you put the new seal between the tank and base be sure to level the tank using a level and do not over tighten the bolts that hold the tank to the base.
I would also use a little silicone on the bolt heads that are inside of the tank to help prevent leaks from there also.

My two part gas tank leaks what do i use to seal it with

If the tanks are plastic, the best fix is to replace them. Most epoxies, silicon, and other glue bases don't bond well with plastic and the vibration of the running saw doesn't help the repair either. Hope this helps!

Iron leaks water from the back end of the base

This problem is the way that rowenta seals the water tank. If the iron is disassembled and the seal is properly put on it will not leak,, however this seal is a silicone based product and not just an off the shelf gasket. I have sealed and repaired some using a high temp silicone
