Have you checked the circuit breaker? If it's not lined up with the "on" breakers, move it to the completely "off" position then move it to the "on" position. If it keeps flipping the breaker off, call an appliance repair person. Check the internet for reviews of your local companies to find the best one.

The top oven not maintaining heat why plenty of reasons depending on age could be a weak ignitor, bad temp sensor, is the oven light on if so oven stops heating after 30 seconds any oven maintaining set point temp will brown and if left long enough burn

Kenmore wall oven model 911.4088816

i believe this oven was designed to reach a set temp and then interm shutdown to keep that set temp..If oven elements turn back on when temp is raised higher than previous temp ..then there is a good chance its working properly.this is a saftey feature to keep elements on stove from overheating..

Top burner over heated and burned our food then E2 F3 fault showed up on keypad. Burns the outside of the food but does not cook the inside. The oven was on bake not broil. Model GY396LXPS00

Hi.

E2 F3 means Oven temperature is too high (Cook mode).

The first part to be tested is the temp sensor. The sensor is located inside oven cavity and it is tested using a multimeter set on Ohms to read impedance at sensor contacts. At room temperature, sensor resistance should be 1K to 1.1K. If not, replace the sensor. If the sensor checks okay, check for a short to in element wiring (element stays always on). If element and sensor are OK replace the control.

Regards.

You have to start with putting an oven thermometer in the oven and comparing the oven temp with the temp that you set it to

Siemens he2415u oven element 4 not heating.

ok, just attach the meter to the elements contact terminal post. after this is done, you will need to select a temp and activate the heating cycle as if you where preparing the oven to cook. You should get reading during the power up, if not, your control is bad. if you get readings at the elements terminal post and the element dose not operate or glow, you will need to replace the element.

Temperature control

sounds like a bad bake ignitor(uneven heat, long cook times, long preheat times, perhaps even gas smell while cooking)

When I cook or bake in my electric oven things are never done in the recommended cooking time. The heating element is working fine.

hi. thanks for the question. does the door seal properly. check that..sometimes the calibration will go off. what i tell my customers to do is.buy a small oven thermometer, that you hang from the racks . then try the oven at 350 degrees .then look at the oven thermometer . and see what the difference is. so lf ,the oven temp is a bit low .cook at 375. degrees. that will make up the difference . no parts needed. cheap fix. thanks the appliance doc

My GE XL44 doesn't heat up to full temperature.

There are several things to check.
1) check the broil element
The broil element participates in the preheat and if the element isn't working it will take forever to reach temp.If the element is good 2)check the broil relay
If the relay does not activate when you press"broil" the control needs to be repaired. They are a few more things to check but you can start with the above.
We rebuild these controls.

Preheat taking long time

If your oven has the hidden bake element then it is probably working properly. A standard oven with an exposed bake element will usually take about 12-15 minutes to preheat. The hidden element models take a little longer but they usually heat a little more evenly.
Post back if you have any more questions.
