How do you remove the left strap post on a Mamiya 645 Pro?

Not something you can do your self as it involves removing the case. Would be useful to have it serviced cleaned and calibrated. Nice camera, I have a Bronica ETR 645.

ASA setting for M645

It's not on the body but on the finder. Assuming the finder has one, it'll be on the right side (as viewed from the back). See pages 13-15 of the manual available from http://butkus.org/chinon/mamiya/mamiya_m645/mamiya_m645.htm

Mamiya 645- broken mirror stop.

If you find a source, do share. I am looking for the shutter stop to be fixed on my Mamiya 645 Pro TL as well. I saw someone online made one out of metal himself... seems like the way to go, but lot of effort.

Save your money from buying the Wein.

Get the Yongnuo RF-602 or RF-603
And become a better flash photographer.
You will be shooting like a pro rather than advanced photographer.

More help, send me an email.

I need help getting a polaroid back on my mamiya 645 afd camera

You probably nees the "P" adapter made to attach the back to the camera. If your item did nopt come with one, you will have to buy it seperately. Go to Mamiya.com and download the owners manual pdf.

Flash for mamiya 7

As with most cameras, the flash for a Mamiya is universal. Any flash with a hot foot connection will fit onto the camera, and function on the camera's shoe mount. You may alternatively use any flash which has a PC sync cord to plug into the PC sync socket on your camera, it just depends on whether you want to use a camera phycially mounted on your camera, or an off-camera flash.

The flash shoe on the Mamiya 7 isn't an "intelligent" type, meaning it only has the standard single contact and doesn't communicate any exposure or other information between camera and flash, so even the cheapest off the shelf shoe-mount flash will work just as well as the most expensive. Even specialized dedicated Nikon, Canon, and other brand "dedicated" flashes with multiple contact pins will also work, only the functionality of the information communicated through those other pins will be lost.

Mamiya 645 pro shutter doesn't fire

First thing that comes to mind on this camera is that it's a modular camera. This means the film back can be changed mid roll so there is what is called a Dark Slide between the film back and the body.

The dark slide needs to be removed before the camera will function. Also depending on how "new" the film back is there may be a dark slide holder/sleeve on the back side of the film back.

So you remove the dark slide and slide is into the holder so first you don't loose it and also it doesn't get bent.

Can I add a digital back to this camera

It is possible, I've looked into it for my Mamiya 645 Pro and even found a nice used Kodak but bought a Canon IDs Mark II for less money. The backs are hugely priced even used you are looking at $3500.00 or more and if you have a 645E that's way to much money to spend.
