SOURCE: Can the end of the cycle the buzzer be turned off?

On the display panel under the start button is a signal indicator. If you push the button to the left of the indicator you should be able to reduce the volume and even turn it off. The button on the right of the signal indicator will bring the volume back up.

How can I disable the buzzer on my maytag supersize capacity 7 cycle electric dryer? It is SO loud! Thanks!

Most of these dryers have the buzzer located in the upper console somewhere. If you're handy with a screwdriver you'll have to take some screws out, maybe take the back off and hunt around inside there for a small, round item with two wires going to it. Disconnect one side and try the dryer for the end of a cycle. If the buzzer doesn't go off you're good. If it does, reconnect the wires you removed and look for another item similar to it. Basically that's all there is to it, just finding it is the hard part.

I have a Maytag dryer (Model MDE2600)and the buzzer will not go off unless the door is opened. Buzzer begins when door is closed.

Buzzer comes on because the control senses that the door is not closed and won't start the cycle. This issue is caused by door switch-latch assembly (part#6 and part#9 in this diagram) that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Frigidaire GLEH1642FS washer/dryer stacked unit: How do I disconnect the buzzer?

The buzzers (there are two, one for the washer, one for the dryer) are behind the control panel. 6 screws must be removed to access the back of the control panel: 2 for the service panel, the 2 outer screws at the base of the control panel, then the 2 much smaller-sized screws.

The buzzers, in my model, are small, un-buzzer-like-looking little black boxes stamped with the brand name 'Ark-less'.

The buzzer for the dryer is connected to 2 contacts on the back of the dryer timer, the contacts labeled 'H' and 'C'.

Once you've identified the buzzer for the dryer, you should be able to find the one for the washer. It's connected by one white and one grey wire.

You should be able to verify this info using the wiring diagram, which will be located behind the service panel. If I remember correctly, the buzzers were labeled 'signal' on the diagram.

Can i turn the end of cycle signal off

You certainly can. I did this on mine.
Unscrew the control panel. Start a cycle and flip open the panel. When the cycle ends, follow the sound to the buzzer. Be sure to unplug the machine before you stick your hands in there.
The buzzer is most likely a small box standing alone. There will be 2 wires leading to it. Disconnect 1 of them and securely wrap it in electrical tape. You don't want to cause a short. That should do it. You can even reattach it later if you wish. Good luck

How do I shut off the very loud end of cycle sound in maytag ldg8506AAM gas dryer

This buzzer is non-adjustable. Click the link below, provided by, to view this part so that you can identify it in the control panel of the dryer. You can remove the wires from it to make it inoperable. You can also get disassembly instructions at their site.

Warning! To avoid personal injury or even death, always disconnect your appliance from its power source--that is, unplug it or break the connection at the circuit breaker or fuse box--before you do any troubleshooting or repair work on your appliance. Also, because some components may have sharp edges, use caution while working on your appliance.

Kenmore stackable washer dryer. Dryer buzzer is

Just solved this problem for a Kenmore stackable washer dyer! Sorry I don't have the model number. I have a baby on the way and a small house. I was pretty sure I would get no sleep between the baby crying and the baby crying because of that darn buzzer!

The buzzer is attached to the timer with a quick connect post. Access the controls by unscrewing the large panel above the washer door. You will need a square screwdriver or a very small flathead and some vice grips to get it started. The panel will fall forward onto the washer. In mine there was a pouch with an electrical diagram of the unit. To release the controls, two more screws must be removed from the sides of the small panel housing the controls. Once again you need a square screwdriver or a very small flathead and some vice grips to get it started. Once these are out you should be able to lift the control panel up and it will fall forward. Get a small box or stand to put on the washer. This will support the panel as the wires are not that long. On the left side of the timer controls you will see a quick connect post marked with an "H". Disconnect this wire and your problems are solved. Beautiful silence! I put electrical tape on the quick connect wire. Not sure if I needed to as I'm not an electrician. Hope this helps.
