How can I save the ink that is used when I print on my Xerox DC12? I print 5000 (11x17 posters) , the printer will consume an entire ink cartridge. What kind of presets can I use to prevent this or to get the best color out-put and save ink. I dont want to keep going through a cartridge everytime I need to print a large amount of pages. Anyone...please help!!!
You cannot change the printer to use less ink. It is a predetermined rate it uses (based on 5-10% coverage) As long as the internal calibration of the machine is set (engineer job) the machine will run optimum coverage settings

you can't print via serial to it. You will have to check the settings in your rip to see what the ip address is. Lights will blink all the time to indicate it is on a network, its just not talking to it. Then you go into your add printers section click the + sign and it should come up in there if the ip address is in line with your mac ip
There are several causes of those.
So go to Xerox.com
Click "support and drives"
then in the product name box, Type DC12
Then any line click support
IN the search box type "spots" and read the relevant solution.
