This device is still supported by the dlink (upto now) with no charge. you can call them at 877-453-5465. just an advise on how to handle the call when you reach dlink tech support (agent); do not agree to call back after you troubleshoot with them (they'll be giving you a case id reference# and be advising you to check your pc or call "who" and call them back to continue the troubleshooting). insist to the agent that he need to resolve the problem asap (by the way, agents are not allowed to drop the call or they'll be dead-history!). and if the agent still insisted you to call back, ask for a "senior level technician" to finish the job (escalate the problem).
fyi: dlink tech support handling time to resolve a call is 15 to 18 minutes only. if you reach that 15-18 minutes (max) time the tech support will think of a way for you to call back (advising you to check with your pc manufacturer, check with your ISP, call microsoft to update your software, etc... non-sense!) they need to do this in order to reach their handling time (agents need to reach 21 to 25 billable calls, and billable calls are "solution provided", "resolved", and "dropped call"). ---- believe me, i was one of them ....

Changing the security settings on our D-Link 615 to allow wireless for X-box?

For Dlink routers, it would be very easy. Open your Dlink router page, check and look for Wireless set up. Perform MAC spoofing. Make sure that the router can detect the mac address of your XBOX. Now there is another work around. You can set up a security key and make sure that it was set on WEP. use 10 digit character to make it easy and concise.

Internet connection fails through DLink router

Some ISPs (Internet Service Providers) require that you "register" the 'MAC' (not an Apple --> Media Acquisition Control) address of the network-adapter of your computer (or router) with the ISP,
before the ISP will allow your computer (or router) to be provisioned.

Your router has a different MAC-address than your computer.
So, your computer works with its "registered" MAC-address,
but your router cannot connect with its "unregistered" MAC-address.

Access the web-server inside the router, and click the 'Clone MAC-address' button, and restart the router.

Then, the router will send the MAC-address of your computer, rather than its own MAC-address, to your ISP.

Can not Connect Dlink to old Apple

I had this problem it turns out the password format is a standard 13 charactors, if yours is shorter the computer auto fills the rest, different manufacturers use different charactors. My workround was to add extra "a"s to make 13 in total on the router, match the computers on the network and off you go.

Mac Support for DLink 704P Router

The DI 704 P software is not distributed anymore , as D-Link discontinued the product.
Among 704 P only last version (revision D) supported mac, check here to find out your version.
You can still couple the server to mac using this procedure, give it a try.
If it does not work contact D-Link and ask if you can have copy of control software.

Router cannot get IP with cisco 675 modem

Hi,

The issue may be due to the existence of two (2) DHCP servers; 1 in the Cisco 675 and the 2nd in the DLink DI-524. You need to disable the Cisco's DHCP server function and assign static IP add & config to the DLink WAN config. This way it will only be the DLink handing out IP adds to the network.

The workaround. Install your original configuration/setting without the DLink DI-524 - PC direct to the Cisco 675 (I am assuming through Ethernet ports). Verify that indeed you are connected to the Internet and can surf the net, check e-mails, etc. Check your Networking Connection Status. Log down your PC's IP Add, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, DNS. For purposes of discussion, let's call this "N1".

After your Internet connection has been verified with your PC directly connected to the Cisco, remove the direct connection and connect the DLink DI-524 in between the Cisco router and your PC.

Log in to the DLink and modify WAN parameters using the "N1" configurations/settings.

It might be of help to disable any security (WEP WPA, MAC etc) at least while configuring.

Hope this be of help/idea. Pls post back how things turned out or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
