Digitizer doesnt work

The Apple iPod is a handy device for listening to your favorite music, but mechanical issues can lead to frustration.

In particular, one problem you may encounter is a touch screen that ceases to function, whether completely or only on certain portions of the screen.

In some cases, a simple fix can solve the problem, while in others, a malfunctioning touch screen may be the sign of a more serious issue.Moisture

Moisture on your fingertips can cause an iPod touch screen to function erratically or not at all. Foreign substances such as hand lotion can also impact the touch screen.
A good practice is to thoroughly wash and dry your hands before using the device.
Wiping the screen with a microfiber polishing cloth can remove any debris accumulated on the touch screen, allowing for the direct fingertip contact necessary for proper functioning.
Barriers

Using a plastic sheet to cover the touch screen provides protection against dirt and smudges. However, the plastic can also create a barrier that prevents essential fingertip contact, especially if it is old and dirty.

Removing the plastic allows you to test the screen to see if it is hindering operation.
Wearing gloves when using your iPod may also inhibit the necessary screen contact, so removing them may also provide a remedy.

Ending Application If your iPod's touch screen freezes or becomes unresponsive when using a specific application, simply restarting the application may solve the problem.

First shut down the application; if this doesn't work, shut down the unit completely and then restart it.
Dead Spots
Instead of a completely unresponsive screen, you may experience difficulty only in specific areas. These "dead spots" are often the result of malfunctioning pixels, which are the components that comprise a digital image.

If you suspect bad pixels are causing your touch screen issues, notify Apple Support for repairs or even replacement.

According to the Tuaw website, Apple's policy has generally been to provide automatic replacement for iPods experiencing pixel problems.

The blotches on the screen indicate damage to the LCD diplay. I hate to give bad news but the best option is to contact apple to check your warranty status.

Hope this helps

Toshiba ultrabook screen looks like black ink spot

That blank ink spot on laptop screen means the LCD or LED has been damaged. There's no other choice but to replace the screen with a new one.

Big screen tv has spots that appear to look like water or ink spots on inside of tv screen. what is this and can it be repaired ?

The TV has a bad light engine, it's very common for this TV and very expensive. Call the manufacture and try to get a concession for the part. They normally give it about 75% of the time.
Good Luck

Cannot use the slide button

Try resetting your iPod by:
  1. Holding down the home button (button on the face of the iPod) and lock button (button on the top of the iPod) at the same time for a few seconds. An option to turn off the iPod should appear at the top of the screen.
  2. Slide the slider to turn off, and wait until screen is totally blank.
  3. Press and hold the lock button (button at the top of the iPod) until an Apple icon appears. Let go, and try the slider now.
  4. If that does not work, it is most likely that you damaged the touch sensor on a certain part of your screen - go to Apple to get it repaired. If you bought it within less than a year, it may be covered under warranty - which means you can get a free replacement on the spot.

Can hardly see screen but it is on

  1. Try to go to the Settings icon on your iPod.
  2. Go to Brightness, and drag your finger to the right, the brightness should increase.
  3. If not, it might be a hardware problem and if you bought it within less than a year, you might be eligible for a free replacement on the spot (part of their warranty). If it is older than a year, they can repair it for a fee. If you are looking to get a new iPod anyway, tell them you will give them your iPod, and they will give you 10% off when you buy a new iPod.

Screen not showing on innovage mp3 player

generally the black spot means there may be an internal crack in the screen or it was left in direct sunlight and was damaged by the heat. If it is an ipod thre are many places that will repair screens if it is that specific problem. If it is that get quote first because it may be cheaper to buy a new on than to have that one repaired.
