Problem for Apple iPod touch Digital Media Player
Ipod touch with the backlight
ipod touch with the backlight problem using 1.1.5, restored to factory settings, reset everything through the ipod nothing worked. I picked this ipod up like this. I can tap the sleep/wake button and get it to come on for a sec, and also if I go to brightness and turn all the way down and move about 10-15% up it flashes for a quick second again, If anyone has anything let me know I would be in debt to you thanks

you most likely have a hard ware problem which i have heard of before and most likely will need to be replaced as long as it is in warranty

- the actually light might be broken and firmware wont fix that. firmware is the software used to control the hardware. If you have tired all the software restores and resets and it still is the same result you have done everything you can. apple's hands are the last optionYes
