Yes you can but make sure it is secured well. Remember, the vent will be putting moist hot air in the attic if it is not secured.

Is there a trick to installing a stackable washer and dryer in a closet? the gas vent and gas line as well as the electricity must be installed when the dryer is in place.?

yup theres a trick.. the trick is to be able to fit behind the unit once stacked to make final connections then climb out and push the units back into the hole..
the main problem is not kinking or otherwise damaging the vent or the gas line when pushing the thing back, hence the climb over make the connections then climb out attack..
never had any luck trying to connect it up while out in the open then stuff it into the hole..
it can be done, just takes time, and patience..
hope this helps,
best of luck,
ttfn

Takes the dryer over two hours to dry one load of laundry. It appears to be putting out hot air. When I stop it to check the clothes, the clothes are usually really warm yet still wet. This has been going...

You have a venting problem. Some makes of condo size dryers have a lint screen inside the drum at the back. Check and clean. If not then there might be a screen in the wall or the ceiling of the room the dryer is in. Trace the vent from the dryer to the wall or ceiling. There should be a vent fan in the ceiling. Try asking the condo property management if there is an exhaust fan in the wall that needs cleaning.

Frigidaire dryer problem

The vent duct length's sound fine.

Have you confirmed that the heater element is working? You don't mention whether the unit get's hot.

If it get's hot, then suspect the thermostat, or the overtemp stat.

Also, be suspect that users are overloading the dryer.

Also make sure that you feel a strong blast of hot air discharging at the vent end, with the washer/dryer in place.

Check that the vent grills inside of the dryer are clear.

Reply back and I can help you further.
