Olympus D535 wont download on to my new laptop running windows vista

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Windows Photo Gallery.

Camera will not connect to computer to download pic.

This camera model may not connect to new operating systems such as Windows Vista due to its age and lack of support from Olympus. In order to download photos you will need to use a memory card reader to connect and download photos. Be sure to purchase a memory card reader that will accept the type of memory card you have. I believe this camera uses SmartMedia which is no longer used and a card reader will be harder to locate.

I have a Olympus 3000 Zoom camera. When I connect it to my computer by USB, it opens a box asking for the hardware, and that it is not recognized.....any suggestions? I have tried finding the correct...

You will need to source the correct software so as to connect the camera to the PC. If it is for transfering photos use the card reader directly to be put into the PC and transferred.

Since purchasing my ASUS laptop 18 months ago with Vista Ultimate, I find that my CD program for "Olympus Master" does not work and I am unable to upgrade through Olympus. I much prefer the olympus system...

Use a card reader to download your pictures to a folder you create on your desktop. Then use any photo program on your computer to edit or arrange them.

Olympus C-3000 download Help

I also have a c-3000 zoom and tried to use it with my vista laptop for the first time (worked fine for years on xp with the software). I got an error message saying something along the lines of "Your camera is too old to work with Vista" (not the exact wording). I bought an external card reader, and you should probably do the same.
