Question about Whirlpool GHW9300 Duet Washer

1 Answer

F02 error. They came out replaced pump, didn't work.

It started with an F02 error. A repairman came out replaced pump - didn't work, now he is coming back to replace the computer board, and possibly door lock. He said the computer board is in the wrong place. Does anyone know where it should be on this model? This is costing me over $400.00 and it isn't even two years old. Don't you think this is so wrong. He kept asking me if the machine had been serviced - it hadn't been it is not even two years old. Anyone else with this problem????

Your filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 screws. The panel will drop and come off. The filter cover is right in front. Keep ready a bunch of towels and unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in. No control board nothing.

LE on display

I just had my LG dishwasher fixed. I told the repair man that LE light was comming on. Even over the phone the repairman said its probably broken wires on the door. Me being in construction for years looked around the door for wires. Anyway the repairman took off 6 screws around the door, took the cover off. You will see about 50 wires taped together. He pulled them aside and visually checked them one by one. Sure enough two were broken in two. He twisted them together put tape and he was gone. $87.50 Still Working!

Our Whirpool duet washer will not spin, gives us the SUDS and F02 message and now the door is locked.....suggestionss?

k now the washer beleives that it is full of water.
pour about 3/4 cup of veg oil in the dispenser. and start the unit.. this will get rid of the suds error.
F02 means long fill.. and the water level has not satisfied the computer for 40 secs. check water connections. making sure they are fully open.
to open the door if it does not unlock, in the dispenser there should be an ODD colored line, five that a tug and the door will pop open

Keep getting f2 signal on kenmore elite quiet pak he3t

F2 and F02 error are one and the same. My daughter was doing a load of towels in my Kenmore Elite HE3t front loading machine, when I went back to put them in the dryer the washer had a load of water in it and an error reading of F02. Checked the manual Could not find anything wrong with the Drain Hose?

These are the possibilities for that error code at one web site:

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.* Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
* Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
* Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
* If the above does not correct the problem, replace the pump.
F02 is long drain.
Just because it came up doesn't mean there's a problem, it simply means there was a failure during the cycle, if it returns on a regular basis, you have a problem.

F02 error could be caused by the over use of soap, you need to make sure your using 2 tablespoons of HE soap, 1/4 cap at the most.
Over sudsing, could cause the water pump to run longer, the pump is designed for 15 min duty cycle which means, 15 minutes on to 45 minutes off. The computer may sense too much soap, and continue to pump. HE soap will cure that, along with SUD error, possible F09 (overflow condition), you may also notice the timing is wrong, HE soap works well in these machines and F/l washer go hand in hand
if the F02 returns the remove the 3 torx screws from the bottom kick panel, and remove the kick panel, right there in the middle you will see a big round handle, turn it and then slide it out, have some towels ready, there will be some water in there, and check to see if you have any thing in there that will slow water flow, tooth picks and other "floating" items may jam the impeller.

F02 Code -

The following link explains the "F02" error on a Kenmore Elite:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r615268-f02_error_code_whirlpool_duet_kenmore

More commonly, you have a clog in the drain pump. I would recommend starting there first. The link I provided gives a follow-on link that describes how to clean out the drain pump of debris. I would also recommend you check all drain hoses for kinks and clogs. If you clear the pump and the error returns, there's a good chance you will need to replace the pump. It doesn't take much to damage the small impeller. The pump may run, but it may not be pumping correctly. If you discover that you need a new pump, replacements can be found on line at searspartsdirect.com. Just type in your COMPLETE model number (located around the door opening) and look under the "Pump and Motor Parts" heading for (I believe) item number 10. This was the cheapest place I could find the pump. If you wish to check other sites, use the part number provided on the Sears website for your search.

I hope you find this information helpful and that it doesn't come to replacing parts. If it does, however, it's not a terrribly expensive repair if you perform this yourself. I can also provide you with step-by-step instructions on how to replace the pump, if necessary. Let me know if you have questions, and/or require additional assistance.

Error F02

"F02" is a Long Drain error. You are right to assume you need to check the drain pump as this is usually the cause. The following link explains the error code and what to check for:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r615268-f02_error_code_whirlpool_duet_kenmore

If you perform all the preliminary checks and the error code persists, try unplugging the washer for at least 30 minutes to reset the computer. Sometimes, this will clear some fault codes.

Keep in mind, a running pump does not always mean a working pump. If anything was lodged in the pump for extended periods, the pump impeller and/or motor may have been damaged. It is recommended by the manufacturer to replace the pump if the error code will not go away. The next link explains how:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r401845-replacing_drain_pump_whirlpool_duet

A replacement pump can be ordered on line at searspartsdirect.com. Just type in your model number and locate item number 10 under the "Pump and Motor Parts" heading.

I'm not saying your pump is bad. I'm giving you this information in the event that it is. I hope this helps you. If you have questions, please let me know.

Getting F02 error, machine stops part way in & beeps.

Thank you so much for posting your solution of the F02 error code. I was having the same problem and noticed that my clothes smelled like mold and I didn't understand why. Anyway, my husband "cleaned the filter". He found four socks.
Awhile back, I noticed that I was missing a lot of socks. One day I pulled the gray flap in the washer and found around 15 socks! I now check that flap after every wash.

Again, thanks for posting your solution. It was an easy fix and it saved us $$.
