It is so common that the washing machine can make terrible noise in many ways and is a common fault. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that machine is vibrating when it is running then the motor /drum suspension has to be inspected. Since these fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for the noise with a good inspection lamp. Manually turn the motor and drum and listen for the noise, if so the motor bearings, the drum agitator shaft and fittings must be checked. Also the suspensions which include the shock absorbers and springs, the body clamps must be checked to be in correct alignment and not changed in position. Tightening of the mounting is also very important. Finally in most cases a drop of OIL or smear of grease on the moving parts cane solve most issues.

Is it normal to hear a squeak from the number 4 cylinder rod bearing as I manually rotate engine crank? I have the front end and oil pan off.

make sure that the squeak is not from dry rings in the bore
put oil down the cylinder and rotate the crank
if it goes it could be just dry and need no further checks but if it is in a bearing then it is serious and needs replacing
turning a crank should produce a dry scraping noise as the pistons move up and down the bores but certainly not other noise

I have a 2005 Tahoe and recently the SERVICE STABILITY came on the dash board. It makes a real high pitched squealing noise while driving and it's now constantly making the noise. And getting worse. I know...

This stuff is my specialty, sounds like POSSIBLY your abs pump motor failing (the abs module mounts to the abs hydraulic pump where all the brake lines go into) i.e abs module=brain abs pump=muscle to put it simply. get the fault code(s), its going to be something like C0265 or C1214 basically "C" then 4 numbers. I can tell you EXACTLY what your problem is WITHOUT having to throw a bunch of money away by replacing unnecessary parts.

  • BRAKES - SQUEAK NOISE ON BRAKE PEDAL APPLICATION
TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN
Bulletin No.: 08-05-22-002C
Date: April 07, 2009
Subject:
Squeak Noise On Brake Apply (Remove Brake Fluid from Master Cylinder and Refill)
Condition
Some customers may comment on a squeak noise when the brake pedal is applied or when released. This noise is normally heard when the brake pedal is slowly applied with the engine on or off, but can occur when the brake pedal is released. The noise may be isolated to the master cylinder area.
Correction
To correct this concern, remove as much of the old brake fluid from the master cylinder as possible and refill with a new DOT 3 brake fluid, P/N 88862806 (in Canada, use P/N 88862807). Start the vehicle and fully cycle the brake pedal until the noise diminishes to allow the new fluid to enter the system. hope this helps! -Tim

Squeaking noise turning

Probably a wheel bearing or wheel cylinder. Could also be a problem with the steering column/rack. Might be low on PS fluid?

Does this happen when turning both directions?

How to tighten /loosen belts on a 2000 xterra, its making a super loud squeaking noise when i turn on the car

The only cure to fix squeaking belts, is to replace with the new one. When the belts start squeaking noise, then it is the time to check the status of the timing belt or chain, depending on the size of the engine.
The 2000-2004 Nissan Xterra was offered with the choice of 2.4L 4-cylinder or 3.3L V6 engine.
The 2.4-liter 4-cylinder DOHC engine was a pretty good reliable engine, but for this truck, it was underpowered. This engine has a long-lasting timing chain - there is no timing belt to replace.
The 3.3-liter V6 SOHC was also a bit slow on pick-up, but for daily use, it was pretty good, durable, simple engine. This engine has a timing belt that needs to be replaced at recommended intervals. The SE model offered a supercharged version of the same engine with more power.

When i turn it on it's making a skreeching noise from the back what could it be?

The most common stuff that comes to mind first:
1) one of the rollers (there are 2) has worn out and they skreech as
they're being killed. I've even seen rollers fall apart, with the outer
part of the roller (the rubber part) squeaking as it revolves around a
frozen-on roller bearing.
FIX: replace roller(s) that're making noise
Cost of part: $10
2) the motor bearing are shot - they scream as they're being ground to dust.
Fix: replace motor.
Cost: if dryer is old, replace dryer. If Dryer under warranty, use it.

Brakes make squeaky noises along with other noises

There are a numer of reasons brakes will squeak or squeal. Sometimes excessive dust acculation wll cause it, yet another cause is the TYPE of material the brake shoes are made of. The harder the brake shoe material , the more tendency to squeak / squeal. My suggestion is use high quality brakes such as OE brakes. Hope this helps.
