Question about HP LaserJet 3380 All-In-One Printer

I have an HP Laser Jet 3380 All in One and when I tryed to scan it tells me that is not PC set up and that is no paper in the feeder when it is Please advise

Be sure to install the drivers on your computer for your printer. Also, remove the paper, and re-seat it to confirm is it properly installed in the printer. Make sure there aren't any paper jams.

Driver re-Installation Proceedure:

1) Unplug any connection to your computer from this device (usb wire, scsi, cat-5 cable)
2) uninstalling the drivers from the hardware menu
3) reboot your PC
4) confirm the printer is no longer installed on your PC by going to the printers section of your control panel.
5) Follow the installation proceedure ducumented for your printer.
6) restart your PC if requested, if not go to step 7
7) test that you can print to your printer.

To "Settings/Registration Table"

You can specify the method for restarting scanning of documents when a paper jam occurs in the feeder.

For information on the optional products required to use this function, see "Optional Products Required for Each Function."


  1. Press b_in_add.gif(Settings/Registration) ? [Function Settings] ? [Common] ? [Scan Settings] ? [Feeder Jam Recovery Method].

  1. Select [From 1st Page] or [From Stopped Original] ? press [OK].

Details of each item are shown below.
[From 1st Page]: If a paper jam occurs in the feeder, scanning starts again from the first page of the document. [From Stopped Original]: If a paper jam occurs in the feeder, scanning starts again from the page of the document scanning was interrupted.

Paper jam in the automatic document feeder


I have a Laser Jet 3050..when I try to load a oaoer to copy or fax, paper does not move...just gears moving but paper is not being pick up...any solutions?

chances are the feeder isnt feeding the paper at all, thats why you cant scan a single paper, try opening up the ADF and clean the feed rollers first, turn off the machine and gently rub the rollers again and again until you have a clean shot or surface, try this from thop to bottom rollers, please make sure though to insert uncreased paper and paper without eardogs on its leading edge, this could cause some delay upon feeding process

sometimes because it is exposed to dust, there is a tendency for the rolllers to slip, or you could be having a broken part that drives the feed rollers from your ADF.

No Paper in Document Feeder


I just upgrated my Vista system as recomanded, and after that I am not able to scan documents, getting the messGE " NO PAPER IN THE DOCUMENT FEEDER " on my all in one laiser jet 3050

Unable to print correctly


Try going to the properties of the printer1.gif and select advanced. Then click on the printer processor and change the HP1.gif what ever to windows raw and the problem was fixed for me!

This also worked for me!!! Thanks!

Set up scanner to notebook


If you are a MAC user You need to use the cd that came with the printer for mac and then it will work, otherwise it will only print, and the scanner won't work.
