Problem for Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) Console
Psp turns on but there is a blank screen
my son and his cousin but a camera on his psp and then put in a game. then my son took the game out and his cousin took the camera off. the psp screen went blank. my son turned the psp off and waited and then turned it back on and the light comes on to show power but the screen is blank.

I suggest you take the back off were you can find the battery and then take a look at the screen maybe the screen has just had all it can take? just make sure the screws are in the correct place.

it probably froze try and remove battery. if that dont work turn it on and wait a second then hold the power switch in the off position but do not let go until it turns off that should completey restart it.

you may have just over done it. you may need a new battery to get it to work. when you are adding things to your psp, make sure you understand the power you are going to need. if you overload it it may do the same thing. I say you try a new battery.

i try doing a network update for the newer version of the psp and it failed cause the battary ran out during the installlation and when i try to turn on the it powers up but the screen stays blank plz help me

Hardly used at all. Green light...no go. Tried all listed solutions, screen is still blank. Looks like a glitch in the overall system when reading everyone else's problems.

Mine turns on, indicative by the circle next to the words, "POWER" turning green, but the screen is blank, and there is no sound. I don't know how to fix it.
