Have black screen. Error PXE E53 help

Check the physical connection for your hard drive. Sometimes they get loose. With the computer off and the battery removed, remove he hard drive and then replace it. Try to boot again.

If this fails to help, you may have a hard drive failure and need to replace it.

Dell xps 710 motherboard replaced with 700 motherboard but it does not boot

This could be any number of problems. First start with hardware. Is everything seated and connected correctly? Are the hard drives installed correctly. Are the power on pins on the board set correctly or pinned at all? Is the ram the correct ram?

Check the hard drives, are they functional, do they boot with other computers?

Use a volt meter and check that the power supply is producing the correct voltages on all the connectors and rails.

If that all checks out, it might be a bios error. Check your boot load order and if the motherboard is detecting the hard drives, check that the correct bios settings for OS management are in place as this is a server. Is the RAM power settings (voltage) and speed correctly selected? Will the computer boot from optical drive using a live CD? Will it boot from a USB live OS (like Ubuntu)?

Since it's not booting, you may not have compatible hardware or damaged hardware. The OS that's installed on the hard drives may not be able to load on the new (older model) motherboard due to driver incompatibility.

How do I replace the hard drive in a Dell Latitude D610 laptop>

Remove the old drive and place it in a spare bay setting it as slave with the jumpers on the drive.
Fit the new hard drive set as master.
Swith on and boot your system with your OS disk in the CD/DVD Drive or USB Flash Drive.
Load your system on the new drive, the BIOS should see what has happened and automatically reset itself.
When your OS is loaded, download all the drivers you require to run VGA, DVD players etc etc
Copy any of the data on drive D as you require.
You will have two drives.
Otherwise just replace the drive and load your OS and drivers.
Hope that helps

I think BIOS does not having a problem only the hard drive or data corruption takes place on your drive. Use your unit's repair system. Or using installer cd to repair the damage.

Since you can boot to Knoppix try to view the hard drive contents. If it is readable then data corruption is a strong possibility. In Knoppix 5.1 drive letter is HDA1 I think for the first drive partition.

Tecra M2 doesn't boot is it a processor problem?

given the symptoms, it points to motherboard.. if it was processor, video or ram. it wouldnt boot at all and you'd just get error beeps from your laptop. i'd first try resetting the bios, by removing the bios battery for 30 min, then putting it back in. if that doesnt work try changing it out, usually costs under 8 bucks. if that doesnt work then I would change out the motherboard, if its cost effective.

Motherboard welcome screen is not visible on booting and pmain problem is after installation an OS it is not accessible

Hello,
There is a problem with your hard drive. Either it is faulty and cannot be accessed or it is not in your BIOS boot sequence.

When it is starting, go into the bios settings and verify that the first boot device is set to your hard drive. If it is and still does the problem, then your hard drive is faulty and needs replaced.

Thanks,
Lolita
