SOURCE: door seal wont drain

I would suggest using a blunt object to clear the drainage holes in the rubber seal. I'd advise against removing the seal for this problem. LG has special pliers to remove the spring loaded wire from around the front of the door seal and another for the larger size one where the rubber seal attaches to the outer drum. The second one is much harder to reattach, even somewhat difficult with the washer's front off if you do not have the special pliers.

SOURCE: LG washer, rubber burning smell

Did you get this seal problem resolved, by yourself or did you call in a repair-person? If you did it yourself, was it difficult? Same problem found 12/17/10 - Thank you

LG dryer doesn't dry clothes on one cycle. Lint collects around bottom of door rubber seal. Have noticed, the door is not closed tight. How to get door to stay closed tightly?

It sounds like you have a plugged up vent causing air to try to blow out around door instead of out vent. Also check door latch to see if anything is broken.

How do i clean Bosch WAE20261AU front loader washing machine

The lint will be in a removable filter and as for cleaning the rubber seal the black grime will most likely be mould. Try a good mould remover.

I broke my rubber door seal loose on the passenger side in the icey weather today. what/how is the cheapest way to repair it? i am not using the remote, because that quit working a month ago after it ran...

Go to you local autoparts retailer you will need little tree clips that go into holes in the rubber seal and in turn push into holes in the door and you will need a tube of weather sealant glue.... Clean the rubber seal on the door and pull out the old tree clips ( tilt them on about a 45 degree angle to get them out don't tear the rubber) next put in the new tree clips you have bought following the same instructions on how you removed the old ones. Finally put sealant glue on the rubber where it contacts the door ( all the way around) and also on the door frame itself where the rubber will contact allow the glue to get tacky on door and rubber (Approx 10 mins) start at one end pushing the rubber back onto the door and inserting the tree clips as you go along when you get to the end viola your done! hope this helps

After my washer spends the rubber comes

Do you mean the door seal has come loose.

Disconnect the machine from the power. Open top hatch by removing two screws in the back and sliding top lid back and up to remove.

Check down from the top of the machine and feel around the door seal. Make sure there are no holes or tears in the seal. Try and refit seal. there is a metal ring around the drum and also around the front panel where the door seal joins. Make sure the are tight and fit in properly.

Let me know if I didnt understand the problem.

Good luck.

If you have not done it already, replace the lint filter. Follow instructions on manual. The lint filter access should be on front side of machine.

Other users had same problem on this model, I quote:
"I've only had it 2 weeks so far. It seems to be collecting lint/fluff all around the rubber door lining"
Source here.

Sometimes there may be too much lint if you use excessive softener and detergent.
