    Hi cairajones.

There are literally  hundreds of types of fuses. Can you give me a bit more info,

    1. what shape is it,

    2. dimensions,

    3. any ratings on the side,

    4. what sort of equipment was it fitted to.

I am sure that we can identify all these things.

    regards

Sounds like a kid or a dog swallowed a fuse.....Call poison control for immediate assistance, but if the fuse is not broken, it will probably pass in a few days. Keep checking!

Where can I get a fuse for my Krell KSA 300 amplifier.I had a blown fuse on the left channel.

Fuses rarely go on their own. The cause is likely to be a shorted semiconductor device in the left channel output.
Fuses are generally not specific to any brand. Is the fuse a tube with metal ends? If it is measure the length in MM. Then look at the end and you should see the rating. Either in A for Amps or MA for milliamps.
Any electronic parts supplier should have the one you want in stock. Buy several, for if the part I mentioned has gone, it will blow again.

Where is fuse in Bose SA-3 Amp

If there is not an external round push and turn style fuse port then it is in the unit itself. You will have to take it apart.

My sons amp has a problem, it was working but it died on him, we changed the power supply but that did not make any difference. he has a randall rg750 75w tube/mosfet power thanks

There should be a fuse or circuit breaker next to the power cable socket on the amp. If it's a fuse you'll probably need a screwdriver to open it and it won't be a standard household fuse.

In most cases the specs of the fuse will be engraved in the metal on one end and it'll be clear so you'll be able to tell if its blown by looking for the element inside.

Hi, I have a Rotel 1050 receiver that I am trying to hook up to a NAD 2400 THX amp. I do not know how to "bridge" the connections so that the Rotel amps are not disabled. Any help is appreciated.

I think the best solution is to remove the jumpers from the Pre Out - Mon In connectors, insert a pair of RCA Y-adapters and plug one end back to the Mon In while the other ends feed the NAD (Page 15 of the manual available at Retrevo.com) . The Rotel's volume and other controls will still be in charge of the NAD.

The manual fails to mention looping the Pre Out back to the Mon In to enable the Rotel's amp to still participate in the program material.

I have a problem with my RA-9808X. A guy I know tried connecting some small speakers from a car with it, and he probably did something wrong. Now it doesn't light up when I plug it in and turn it on...

All I can say to you is look around where the mains goes in very carefully. Fuses are sometimes hidden or in a case or cover of some kind. Sometimes amps use fuseable resistors. If the PC board is marked up look for resistors with "RF" or different indication to a normal resistor. Otherwise fuses will have "f" markings on the board. Remember the power supply part might be enclosed in a metal case with holes in it, so might be hard to spot fuses.

Bose ps321 checked everything have had for 6 yrs not getting power

It sounds like you most likely blew a fuse. Unplug it and open it, look around where the plug wire goes into the box. You should see a fuse, usually a glass cylinder with metal ends. If its blown, replace and you should be good. If fuse is good, let me know and we will go from there.

Pioneer 12v car amp rated at 1200 watts max requires ? amp fuse

Hi I would suggest 40A (i know guys will disagree) but you shouldnt be running at full 50A. Fuse are often rate at 50% - 75% of the actual consumption. By the way, 8 guage @40A will give you about a 2% drop at 5 feet. Maybe consider heavier for 40A?? Just a suggestion

I need to replace the external fuse on a marantz Model 32 amp.

Well, take good look at the Fuse itself on metal area.
If it says AGC, then fast acting.
If it says MDL, then Slow Acting.

If you cannot figure it out, then just use Fast Acting since it is more commonly used in smaller Receivers and Amplifiers and Fast Acting will cutoff faster (compair to Slow Acting) if there is any unknown Prblem with Chassis.
