    Hi cairajones.

There are literally  hundreds of types of fuses. Can you give me a bit more info,

    1. what shape is it,

    2. dimensions,

    3. any ratings on the side,

    4. what sort of equipment was it fitted to.

I am sure that we can identify all these things.

    regards

Sounds like a kid or a dog swallowed a fuse.....Call poison control for immediate assistance, but if the fuse is not broken, it will probably pass in a few days. Keep checking!

40 amp fuse how do u tell if thei good or not

If the fuse strip inside is broken, it is bad. Sometimes hard to tell visually, so if you have a test light, you can probe both ends of fuse with key on. Ground the test light to a metal piece, and use the probe end to touch the metal at each end of the top of fuse. With key on, both ends of fuse should light the tester. If only one end of fuse lights the tester, the fuse is blown.

Maxon wire fuses

If a inline fuse in a holder the old one will aside from length have the amperage printed on it---very few mobile radios use larger than a 3 amp fuse-----look on metal ends of old fuse if have it for markings like 3ag 3 250---3AG is size, 3 is 3 amp, 250 is max working voltage (120 is fine).

Where is the thermal fuse located on an electric whirlpool in cabinet oven?

hello,

Instruction below.
  • Unplug your oven. Insert the size 15 Security Torx bit into your multi-bit screwdriver and remove the screws from the back panel. Take off the back panel.
  • 2 Locate the fuse. It should be near where the electrical cord comes into the oven. The fuse is a small white bar with metal caps on either end. Carefully remove the fuse. Avoid touching the transformer or other parts inside the oven.
  • 3 Purchase a new fuse. Most whirlpool ovens use an 18 amp ceramic fuse. Consult your owner's manual to find out what kind of fuse is used, or take the old fuse into the store to find the exact match.
  • 4 Replace the fuse. Put the cover back on and see if your oven works. If it does, replace the screws. If it does not, try a different fuse. If the oven still does not turn on, you may have to have it replaced of professionally repaired.

  • thanks,

My cigarette no longer works in the front (we use it as power outlet) where can i purchase the replacement fuse?

    Hi,
Any good auto shop or gas station could sell you a fuse.
The issue is whether the fuse is in-line with the red wire ( this wire is the positive 12 volts DC) that feeds the rear connection of your cigarette lighter, or whether the power comes from the fuse box. An inline fuse is a glass cylindrical item with metal ends, whereas the fuse box fuse is a plastic tab with two metal prongs.
    See here for fuse info:
    http://www.ehow.com/how_3384_replace-electrical-fuse.html
    http://www.edmunds.com/ownership/howto/articles/45791/article.html

Have look at you car user manual if you don't know where the fuse box is.
It is often located under the steering wheel side of the dashboard, and sometimes in the drivers side kick panel under the dash.
Ensure you buy the correct size fuse. In the glass type is will be printed on the metal ends eg 5A means 5 amps. The plastic tab type fuse is rated by color and will have the amps rating also stamped on it. Do not put a larger fuse in than is already installed. For eg don't replace a 5A fuse with a 10A one.
    Cheers,
    Steve

    TOTALINE thermostat P374-0200 blank screen

Hi, If this stat has batteries, change them. If not, go to the furnace and pull the panels. If you have a circuit board, look for a small 3 to 5 amp plug in fuse, the kind you would use in your auto. It may be blown. Turn of power before you take it out and look at the metal in the fuse to see if it is burned or black, a hot spot. Replace fuse and see what happens. If no board or fuse, get back to me with more information on the kind of heater you have, gas, elect, wall heater, heat-pump ect. You have lost your 24 volt power supply if you have no batteries in stat. Let me know. Merry Christmas,
