I am unable to turn off my bright lights. The switch is not working. And the radio is on Phone Mode... How do I get the radio out of phone mode?
The switch is made into the turn signal indicator and the arm swings up and down (backward click up- backward click down)..there is a connector rod between the arm and the switch and it may have broken..this rquires lowering the steering column as the switch is on top of the column under the dash (on most models) some may still have it on the floor up by the upper floorboard left of the brake pedal(where mine is on my 89 ford)...may have to completely disconnect the battery of the car to totally kill the radio,,reconnect and see if it resets itself...good luck...

Heard a similar complaint, try disconnecting the main battery leads. This should clear the head unit and allow you to return to default menu.

I had the same problem. I disconnected the car battery and reconnected it. The clock and everything will have to be reset after doing this.

Have you tried disconnecting the unit from power to reset it? That should get your radio back and allow you to try pairing, again.

Hi.
The problems you are experiencing are caused by the wiring inside the steering wheel. The radio input changing at random is the effect of a contact in the steering wheel control interface. If you have no steering wheel control interface check at the back of the radio for a short in steering wheel control connector's contacts.
The clicking noise when you turn is not coming from the flasher relay, but it is simulated and played by the same system that plays the seat belt chime. If both noises are gone it is probably because of a problem the wiring that goes to the internal car audio system or because a short circuit has impaired both functions.
Problems with steering column wiring are quite common in new Chevy Cobalt. GM has not issued yet any recall for such problems. Here a forum.
There is instead a recall to prevent sudden loss of power steering assist. The recall has been issued to face a critical problem, as loss of power steering while driving may represent an hazard. The recall will entitle you to a free power steering pump and control replacement. I suggest going to the nearest dealer place and asking about the recall. While the steering column is being disassembled to carry the repair you can also ask to have a look at the wiring in there.
Below recall number and details. Mention the recall number when you ask the dealer about repair conditions. The repair under recall is supposed to be free of charge.
