SOURCE: i have no power to my 40 inch panasonic plasma tv.

hi, no power has to do with your tv,s power supply, the trouble may be as small as a fuse or it may be the power supply needs replacing, this is your best bet, I would check that part first, if you had blinks or lights flashing then your problem would be with the other boards if your attempting to fix this set yourself it is dangerous voltages inside and you will need a service manual for trouble shooting, once you replace the power supply if something else dosent work then you will have flashing lights that will pin point the board affected. hope this helps. happy holidays

Horizontal line of red pixels on plasma screen

Sounds like a Y-sustain board fault. For more information go to http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ It has screen-shots to defective plasma displays. You can see and compare it to that of your TV's screen, and can make sure. Pull up older posts.

Pink and green diagonal lines rollng across the screen??? panasonic 42" Plasma . Only purchased about 3 years ago - but been used very rarely.

Have you tried lifting the ground on the TV? That set has a grounded (3-prong) plug and sometimes sccrolling lines can be caused by a ground loop in your power lines. Are the green and purple lines very short, like just a few rows of pixels tall, or multiple inches, like 3 - 8 tall?

Where can i obtain a lamp for the hp plasma tv model#pl4260n

Sorry, your plasma does not take a lamp.

"Plasma flat screen technology consists of hundreds of thousands of individual pixel cells, which allow electric pulses (stemming from electrodes) to excite rare natural gases-usually xenon and neon-causing them to glow and produce light. This light illuminates the proper balance of red, green, or blue phosphors contained in each cell to display the proper color sequence from the light. Each pixel cell is essentially an individual microscopic florescent light bulb, receiving instruction from software contained on the rear electrostatic silicon board. Look very closely at a plasma TV and you can actually see the individual pixel cell coloration of red, green, and blue bars. You can also see the black ribs which separate each."

Green pixelation and fuzz

This is normal for Plasma TV's. You just need a tech to come out and calibrate it. DO NOT DO IT YOURSELF. You need an Autherised Pioneer tech to do it. If you take the back off and do not bypass the tamper switch,Before you plug it back in.You will be screwed, and have NO tv at all. And you will have to take it to an autherised center for them to reset the codes. It is a mess. But the green snow is an easy adjustment,on the Y sus board.Sometimes it is red also,or multi colored. Just the color gain needs to be turned down. When you have a tech come out,ask him about the tamper switch,If he does not know what you are talking about.Tell them Bye bye. NOTE"Geek Squad are not techs." Hope this helps.
