I just bought a mitraveler 7N netbook for my son to use for school. He is not able to get on the internet with it because no matter where he tries to go a box pops up saying security alert saying that the name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site then where it asks if i want to continue i click yes but it still will not allow me to go anywhere the box just comes back again

If the discs are clean and pretty much scratch free, then this is most likely a bad hard drive. If you have another PC or laptop, try burning copies of the recovery cds and then use those. If the problem remains, you will need a new hard drive.

Hi, it seems that the recovery partition is not working.You may have to get the Recovery CD's to do the Factory Recovery.If you have not created the Recovery CD's from the Recovery manager software, you can purchase it from the Acer website.

The Alternate method for starting the Recovery on startup is using the combination of ALT+F10 ( some models its ALTgr ) on startup.Press and Hold down the ALT( Left jand of space ) and at the same time keep on tapping the F10 key till you get the message " Windows is loading files".Just follow the On screen Instructions to start the Recovery.

Hi PROBLEM FIXED!!!
I had the same problem but fixed it! its simple, go to network and dial up connections in control panel and change your internet adapter card to obtain ip address via dhcp. to do this just double click on it or right click and change the properties. if you are not sure which one is your wifi adapter just do it to all of them till it works. also make sure u have set up yr encryption properly.

You are restricted to using the "YOU TUBE" icon on the desk top as that will connect to a server that can handle the restricted CE displays. If you try and go around that and ask for http://www.youtube.com it will give you an error code. Many sites cannot recognize the CE format as that is somewhat restricted to "Smart Phone Usage" in the past.
