If you are talking about the trigger in your plate that sensor probably is shot and needs to be replaced by the dealer only. porche is a picky car when it comes to its repairs i have worked as a master porche tech and they are very sensitive.

I have a 1998 Porsche 911. I simply want to disable / disconnect the it as straightforward as removing a fuse?

Sometimes, it depends on if the Fuse is running any other equipment.
Personally, I would find the alarm sensor and disconnect it.
This would allow you to retain the factory remote start or keyless entry (if equipped.)

Sire does work on porsche 933

Are you sure it has an audible alarm? As with most things on a Porsche, it's an option that many don't opt for. The immobilizer is what you're describing only flashes the lights but there isn't necessarily an audible alarm.

Have a 1990 Porsche Carrera 2. Key lock Broke on drivers side while we were locking car and engaged alarm. Need to figure out how to disarm alarm so I can get car started again. I can turn alarm off on...

Um, how about having the lock repaired or replaced so that the alarm and locking functions work again? If the car is in Bozeman, MT, I recommend contacting Auto Stop who have experience with porches.

Alarm goe off on 911 for no peason

sensor malfunction somewhere. take it to the dealer have em hook it up to their computer readout and it will tell you exactly which sensor is causing the alarm to trip. it may be as simple as just unhooking that sensor, depending if its a normally open or closed switch
