Question about Acer 22" X223w LCD Monitor
I have an Acer X223w monitor. On the left side of the screen approximately 1 in over is a red line (some times yellow) about 1 or Pixels wide. It runs vertically the whole length of the screen. from top to bottom. Does anyone know what could cause this? Is it an easy fix? I can use a soldering iron, and an ohm meter, but I would need pretty detailed instructions about what to look for and so on. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Shane

It would seem, somehow, your graphics driver was corrupted. The only thing to do is re-install graphics drivers. These can be found with a quick Google Search: CLICK ME
The first link, to DriversCollection.com, looks promising. This one is for Windows Vista or XP, but you need to specify on the tabs near the top of the page. Make sure you download the correct driver, as this page includes other drivers. You're looking for "Graphics Driver" [Vista] or "Video Driver" [XP].
Hope this works for you.

This is a bad LCD panel. If it is still under warranty, your best bet is to have it replaced again. The only fix is to replace the actual panel and that would cost more than a new monitor.
