How to reset error code E00000-0010

This is the standard proceedure for the Canon ImageRunner Copiers and all that I'm sure will follow: Press the " Additional Function " key, then press " 2 & 8" at the same time, then the " Addtional Function " key again. You should now see the service mode screen. Press " COPIER ", then " FUNCTION, " then " CLEAR, " then " ERR ", then " OK. " This will clear the code out of the copier's memory. Please be careful in service mode becuase you can do very distructive things in this mode that may take a Canon qualified technician a long time to resolve. Power down the copier at the main power switch, wait a few seconds then turn the copier back on. If the error comes back then you have a fixing assembly problem that will have to be resolved before being able to use the copier. Good Luck.

E000020-01a2 showing this error

This an error code for the yellow color. The E020 is related to toner or drums. The 01 is for yellow but my book doesn't have the a2 part. How long has it been since the yellow drum has been changed? It's good for about 40,000 prints. Go into service mode and go to copier, display, dens, then misc. This will give you the approximate life of each color drum as expressed as a percentage of life. Hope this helps.

Thats a fuser error code, and if turning the copier on and off doesn't fix the issue then you will have to get a technician to replace the fuser unit.

Hoo.comi want to solve the problem in my copier canon ir 2016, error code e354

Hello,
this is error code that isn't stated in service manual and doesn't have description. When this error occures the procedure is to report to Canon service center. The same errors were on ir1600/2000 series, but without some good explanations.

So, call authorised CANON service partner!

Format ir 5000

If you're talking about formatting the hard drive, then you will have to aquire the Service Support Tool software from Canon. You will also need the system software to put back onto the Hard Disk Drive. If you're having problems with the HDD and getting E602 codes you may even have to replace the HDD. First try doing a disk ckeck by turning off the copier holding down the 1 & 9 keys at the same time and power up the copier. You will have to keep the keys depressed until the display has a rectanglular block show up in the upper left hand corner. Release the keys and after some time the block will move down to the bottom of the display. This could sometimes take all night so be patient. If this doesn't take care of your problem then the first part of my explanation will most likely have to be done. Good Luck.

Error 010-297 restart printer

Hi belljohnson5,

The code is caused by a small switch under the fuser unit not sensing the fuser unit is in place. The blue plastic locking tab on the left side of the fuser has a small catch on the bottom of the fuser. The catch is supposed to slip thru a space in the steel plate under the fuser unit and secure the fuser in place. As the catch slides forward under the steel plate, it pushes on the trigger of the sensing switch, closing the sensing switch and letting the copier know that the fuser is in place. (there is also a similar locking tab on the right of the fuser but it doesn't trigger a sensor like the left one does) 1) The fuser gets very Hot!! Let cool for 10 minutes after turning off the power and unplugging the copier! 2) Pull the two blue locking tabs forward and remove the fuser unit. Reinsert and push back on the tabs to lock back into place. Sometimes just reinserting the fuser will allow the catch on the locking tab to function correctly and push the trigger on the sensing unit. Turn the copier back on and pray the error code doesn't reappear.. 3) Mine reappeared. Evidently the catch on the fuser unit was still not pushing the trigger forward, causing the copier to surmise that no fuser unit was installed. At this point, you should buy another fuser unit or take your copier to an authorized Dell repair center.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.
