SOURCE: I'm trying to hook up a soundbar to my LG

Hi, I have your solution. there are only 2 audio outputs it seems-one is a fiber optic digital output that uses a Toslink connector, the other is a small 1/8 in.- 3.5mm stereo headphone jack ( it's location I'm unclear on-it may be located on the side or even on the bottom edge. Other than those the only other audio out is through the t.v.'s speakers. Thanks for choosing fixYa, good luck-Prodzilla

Lg 47ls4500 tv will not come on. Has a steady red lite, not blinking.

There could be an open internal fuse or failed power supply.

Bought a lg soundbar and optical cable connected to back of tv with jack adaptor but soundbar won't work can someone tell me if why? Thanks

I am going to guess here that you are running this through an audio system or a cable box. Your audio needs to come form the source, not the TV. Ex. If you were to go optic cable out of your cable box and into the TV optic then you would get sound out of your TV speakers. Go direct to sound bar.

Remote sensor on the tv is not working.Have seen solutions on line that say put headphone jack into the "remote input" or "wired input" port. The 47LS4500 does not have this port. What is the solution?

Hi,
use a phone camera and look at the front emitter LED the camera will show the invisible output as white light, if you indeed have output showing you can be reasonably sure the remote is working, here is a link for IR sensors on the plus side they all plug into the set with no soldering and just one screw.

I am getting no picture on the tv, when I turn the tv on the red standby button shows, and if I change the channel or hit the input button on the remote the standby button flashes 3times and turns off

It sounds like main board fault. These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

I have a Philips soundbar that I have hooked up to my flat screen tv using audio (red, white) cables directly from soundbar to tv and there is no sound coming out.

Be sure you are hooking up the Audio Output from the TV or satellite to the soundbar.

From the satellite box both Audio Output and Video Output go to the TV, and then Audio Output from the TV goes to the soundbar.
Or
From the satellite box Video Output goes to the TV and Audio Output goes to the soundbar.

I connect my I live soundbar to my Samsung plasma TV and I'm not getting no sound from the TV to soundbar please help

Check the TV's audio menu to make sure there will be signal available at the RCA outputs
Some sets won't allow both internal & external speakers/sound bar to both be on.

LG sound bar don't work on LG tv

Need models of TV and soundbar to be more specific.

Generic help: Not plugged in correctly (you connected to the TVs red and white sockets without realising that they are a "signal in" and not a "signal out" type socket. Incompatible (i.e. a soundbar that uses ARC but the TV doesn't have it). Wrong TV settings - You're connected to the headphone jack but you didn't bother reading the manual that tells you there's a separate control for audio out via that jack and it's buried in the menus. The list goes on.....

Read the manuals, and don't just guess where things plug in. That's always a good start.
