Robert:

As far as the manuals... you might be able to download them at http://www.homelite.com. (you can click on the link) under customer service, you'll find "owner's manuals). To adjust the fuel/air mixture, start the saw and turn the adjustment screws in or out a little at a time until you get the saw running properly. There is no "set" adjustment... as the saw motor ages, those settings will change. If you make adjustments to the fuel/air screws and the saw stops running and starting, turn the adjustment screws all the way in (clockwise) GENTLY... If you force those screws you will damage the needle valve seats! Turn both screws out one and a quarter turns out, and the saw will start. continue adjusting until the saw runs properly. Have patience... it may take a while to get the saw running to your satisfaction.

How do I adjust the carburetor mixture screws on a 2001 yamaha ttr 125L

Hi, Anonymous the carburetor throttle shaft wheel has two cables the cable closest to the right side of the bike is the throttle cable and the one closest to the left side is the idle cable. Right about the middle between the two is the idle adjustment bolt it faces out towards the air filter end of the carb. The engine should be at operating temperature with the enrichener off to set the idle between 950-1050 rpm. Turn the idle adjustment bolt clockwise to increases idle speed and counterclockwise to decrease idle speed. If you have access to your air fuel mixture bolt you may adjust it as well if not there is a video below on how to gain access, make sure you start with clean or new spark plugs. Gently turn the air fuel mixture bolt clockwise until it starts to bottom out "STOP" do not over tighten as it will damage the taper on the end, now back it out 2 full turns to establish a starting point start the engine and check the idle rpm's and adjust the idle adjustment bolt accordingly for 950-1050 rpm if necessary, adjust the air fuel mixture bolt 1/4 turn at a time and let the engine settle for about 10 seconds, clockwise for a leaner mixture and counterclockwise for a richer mixture you are seeking the highest rpm your air fuel mixture bolt can acquire without going past 3 full turns from bottom then readjusting the idle adjustment bolt back down to 950-1050 rpm If you can not detect any rpm change and can not stall the engine by turning the air-fuel mixture bolt all the way in then your pilot/low-speed jet is too big. Final adjustment should be made with a clean air filter mounted to the carburetor. Need to know which adjustments on carb are for what results.

Generally there are 3 adjustments depending on the model. An idle speed screw that controls the idle rpm of the saw, the idle mixture screw that controls the air/fuel ratio at idle speed as well as "throttle up", and the high speed mixture screw that controls the air/fuel ratio for top engine rpm. The mixture screws will usually be identified on by a "L" and "H". Hope this answers your question.

Need to know gas mixture

Yours is not a current model and I did not find a manual. The following is an excerpt from a 26cc MightyLite Blower/Vac UT08550/UT08951 "Operator's Manual":
This product is powered by a 2-cycle engine and requires pre-mixing gasoline and 2-cycle lubricant. Pre-mix unleaded gasoline and 2-cycle engine lubricant in a clean 1 gallon container approved for gasoline.
Recommended fuel: This engine is certified to operate on unleaded gasoline intended for automotive use.
Mix Homelite Premium Exact Mix lubricant with gasoline according to the instructions on the package. If Premium Exact Mix lubricant is not available, use a high quality synthetic 2-cycle engine lubricant, mixed at 2.6 oz. per gallon (US).
Do not use automotive lubricant or 2-cycle outboard lubricant.
NOTE: Premium Exact Mix fuel mix will stay fresh up to 30 days. DO NOT mix quantities larger than usable in a 30 day period.
PREMIUM EXACT MIX (50:1)
GasolineLubricant
1 gallon (US) 2.6 oz.
1 Liter 20 cc (20 ml)

If properly adjusted your blower will operate fine on 50:1 regardles of what the manual reads. HTH
